Industry Vet Lenny Weinstein Passes Away

CHATSWORTH, Calif. – The Bacchus/Filmco family is saddened to announce the passing of longtime industry veteran Lenny Weinstein, 69, on Saturday.

"I don't want to put out too much detail right now," said Steve B., GM of Bacchus/Filmco. "But he's been in failing health for some time. He had a massive heart attack a couple of weeks ago. Doctors gave him a couple of choices about what to do, and he passed away during surgery on Saturday."

Steve B. fondly remembered Weinstein. "He was extremely well-liked and worked for a lot of companies," he said. "He was the kind of guy who always had a smile on his face."

Weinstein, who had a long career in the adult industry, had spent the last several years at Bacchus/Filmco. "He started way back in the day, in the early '80s. I couldn't give you an exact date and all the different companies he worked for. He's been here with us for the last 8 years," said Steve B.

When asked in Weinstein had an official title within the company, Steve B. chuckled and said, "Just Lenny. Whatever we needed him to do, he took care of it. He was a great guy and he's going to be missed by many, many people."

Funeral arrangements are pending.
