Industry Crowd Welcomes Oxygen to Porn Valley

TARZANA, Calif. — An impressive gathering of some of adult's best-known personalities came together Friday night to support performers Veronica Rayne and Jack Vegas in the grand opening of their new "porn-friendly" restaurant/lounge, Oxygen, in the heart of the San Fernando Valley.

Rayne, who along with Vegas had many years' experience in the service industry prior to entering adult, busily worked the bar throughout the night, mixing cocktails and doling out cold brews with professional flair as the posh bistro filled up with familiar faces.

Marcus London, who has a table dedicated to him in the establishment, gabbed outside by the red carpet with wife Devon Lee and fellow male performer Tommy Gunn.

Gunn, attributing the conspicuous absence of his signature goatee to his role in the forthcoming X-Play parody Not Three's Company XXX, also addressed many inquiries about another conspicuous absence — that of New Sensations girl Ashlynn Brooke, now apparently his ex-significant other. "She zigged and I zagged," he told people lightheartedly.

London, meanwhile, dished a bit about his own idea for a porn adaptation of another stripe: one based on the Dustin Hoffman/Anne Bancroft classic The Graduate. His sticking point at the moment? Casting just the right people in the roles of Benjamin and Mrs. Robinson. (We suggested Kylie Ireland for the latter ... Kylie, you reading this?)

Walking by, porn stud Jordan Ash — who holds a contract with party sponsor Brazzers — proclaimed, "I am here to get laid! Everybody here is getting laid tonight!"

After taking some pictures and doing some interviews on the red carpet, reigning AVN Best New Starlet (and Adam & Eve contract girl) Bree Olson socialized inside, expressing a wee ounce of disappointment that there was no lobster to be consumed at the event. "I saw 'restaurant' and I thought, 'Woo-hoo, we're gonna be eating some lobster!'" she joked.

In the curtained-off V.I.P. room at the back of the lounge, usually reclusive director Andre Madness toasted the night with makeup artist Melissa Murphy and performers Jay Ashley and Seth Dickens. Madness, too, talked about a big project he has on the horizon: a sequel to Adam & Eve's 2004 AVN Best Video Feature co-winner, Rawhide. (The award was split that year, in a rare tie, with Wicked Pictures' Beautiful.)

Also on hand were: Oxygen partner and fellow performer Justin Syder, attorney Michael Fattorosi of party co-sponsor AdultBizLaw.com, Brooke Haven (another table dedicatee), publicist Monstar and new client/Fresh Off the Busser Arianna Armani, Vanessa Blue, Allison Pierce, a newly brunette Jenny Hendrix, Stiletto magazine's Gary Gottlieb, Jenaveve Jolie, Mr. Marcus, Reno, Jew Hefner, Arnold Schwarzenpecker, Venus, Alexis Amore, Ethan Cage, Donny Long, Tee Reel, Mark Zane, Mike Adriano and Brady Hardy.

Oxygen is located at 19548 Ventura Blvd. in Tarzana, and serves a full menu until 11 p.m., as well as hosts a different theme night each evening, Monday through Saturday. Every Wednesday will be Industry Night, welcoming all members of the porn community.
