Skuff 3: Downright Wrong, Hot House Entertainment's leather blockbuster, took the Best Film prize at the HeatGay 4th International Erotic Gay Film Festival of Barcelona, the studio announced in a press release today. HeatGay is the gay adult section of Barcelona's larger International Erotic Film Festival, now in its 13th year.
"We couldn’t be any more thrilled with the win,” said Steven Scarborough, Skuff 3 director and Hot House president. “We knew while we were filming that the cast and action were beyond extraordinary and that there was a good chance we’d see some nominations for Skuff 3 in the leather categories. It’s quite a surprise to win for Best Film.”
The previous edition, Skuff 2: Downright Filthy, produced in 2003, took home Best Leather Video trophies at both the GAYVN and Grabby Awards.
Scarborough’s success with the leather genre dates back to the '80s with the award-winning Abduction series he shot for Falcon Studios during his eight years there as vice president.
The studio also announced that scenes from Scarborough's newest leather/abduction movie, The Missing, will be available this week for iPod download on the movie's official minisite, TheMissing-TheMovie.com.
