A straight arrow high school senior falls in love with the perfect girl next door only to discover that she's a former porn star.
That's the plot of The Girl Next Door, a production that stars Elisha Cuthbert, best known for her role as the daughter on the hit FOX TV series 24, as a porn star trying to get out of the business, and Emile Hirsch (Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys) as the studious senior.
There’s also a ton of porn stars in the movie, though none of them are listed in the official credits yet. Steven St. Croix and Angel Cassidy are both in the film’s trailer, and the Wicked Girls and the Vivid Girls both taped cameos last year.
One of the scenes is set at the AVN AEE show, as Cuthbert’s character shows up for a signing – turned out she owed one last video under her contract. The character’s porn name is Athena.
The trailer shows Athena posing for photos in front of an Adam & Eve poster, alongside other performers including real life porn star Angel Cassidy (although at the time that scene was shot Cassidy had yet to cross over to hardcore). In fast, there is a full scale Adam & Eve booth, complete with their signature novelties.
20th Century Fox is billing the movie as a teen romantic comedy, not an in depth look at the adult industry, though reportedly the screenplay had an upbeat view of the adult industry.
The Girl Next Door will be released on March 12.
