Private Dancer magazine, a guide to the adult nightclub industry in Southern California, will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a special gala benefit on Monday, June 26, at the Century Club in Century City. The event will be sponsored by Wicked Pictures, with the proceeds benefiting ACE of California, the trade association of California’s adult nightclubs, to help in their efforts to protect and defend the rights of the adult nightclub industry.
The hostess for the evening will be Wicked Pictures contract star and Private Dance 10-year anniversary cover girl, Stormy Daniels. The celebration will also serve as the closing event following the Erotica L.A. weekend. Supporting sponsors include: Assassin Pictures, Executive Limosines, and Blue Sky Designs.
“I was flattered when Private Dancer asked me to be on their 10th Anniversary cover," Daniels told AVN.com. "That was a very important issue that also coincided with the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. I’ve been dancing for nine years now… it’s how I got into the industry and I still dance today, and so Private Dancer is pretty near and dear to my heart.
“When they asked me to be the host for the magazine’s first gala, and I was taken aback,” continued Daniels. “I’m very excited and I hope I do a great job. I’m thrilled.”
The evening will open with a cocktail hour at 7 p.m., followed by a dinner/awards ceremony at 8. During both the cocktail hour and dinner/ceremony, feature adult entertainers will be performing on stage. At 9 p.m., honorees will be presented lifetime achievement awards for their dedication and work on behalf of the nightclub industry. Honorees at this time are Deja Vu founder Harry Mohney, adult business attorney Roger Diamond, and AVN Hall of Famer Jenna Jameson.
To segue into the after-party portion of the evening No Duh, a No Doubt tribute band, will perform. At 11 p.m., the after-party will officially begin with DJ Lady Tribe spinning records for the guests.
Tickets for the Gala are $75 each, with a table of 10 offered at $750. A limited amount of VIP seating is available at $125 per person with a table of 10 at $1250. Cover charge for the after-party is $25, $15 presale.
