Pornstar Pets, Margie Schnibbe’s documentary on the lives of porn actors and their pets, is set for release on DVD June 6.
Produced by Brink Films, the documentary film was originally released last year as a look into the lives of a number of performers including Mr. Marcus who showed off his tiny pet dog Princess.
“She’s a Pekipoo. That’s a mix of a Pekinese and French Poodle,” said Marcus who is featured prominently in the film.
“Most people look at me and think I would have a pit bull or something, but I have this little thing. But I really had no choice. I had my little five-year-old looking at me in the face saying she wanted the dog.”
Ironically, Marcus said he bought the dog from a pet store which burned down a week later, killing many animals.
“I always say she’s blessed.”
Besides Marcus, the film also features Ron Jeremy, who talks about his pet turtle, Cherry, and discusses turtle genealogy, while Teri Weigel shows off her menagerie of dogs, snakes and birds.
Taylor Wane talks about her beloved Yorkshire terrier and his penchant for eating gourmet shrimp.
Other adult performers featured are Nick Manning, Kim Chambers, Jessica Drake, LaTia Lopez, Sharon Mitchell, Melissa Monet, Kitten Natividad, Dave Pounder, Scott Styles, Shay Sights, Anastasia Sands, Evan Stone, Sunset Thomas and others.
Filmmaker Schnibbe says her documentary was three years in the making in her efforts to document the other relationships between porn actors and their animals.
A veteran director, Schnibbe’s work has been exhibited at the Rotterdam Film Festival, Chicago Underground (film festival), and scores of other film exhibitions.
