Alt. porn seems to have made a definitive mark on the adult entertainment industry, as one of its diligent soldiers, director Eon McKai, threw a party for his Neu Wave Hookers release (distributed by VCA) this past weekend and the party-goers showed up in droves.
The party, on the decidedly kinky Miss Kitty night at Dragonfly in Hollywood, turned out to be quite a naughty spectacle. The red-bricked, warehouse-style club showcased go-go dancers of both the male and female variety (and sometimes of a variety, confusingly, between male and female) danced on pedestals to a synthed-out soundtrack of new wave (how appropriate) hits.
A giant projection of McKai’s movie had a large crowd of party-goers’ eyes peeled, as well as some interesting side shows like a spanking stage, which surely produced a few red asses.
Miss Kitty herself mc’d some dirty contests and giveaways, and a handful of fortunate fans walked away with copies of the three DVD set of Neu Wave Hookers, while one very lucky contest winner took home a hundred bucks.
“It was a pretty wild night,” reflected Mckai. “Huell Howser, [host of several travel and human interest shows on PBS], even stopped by to say ‘hey,’ because he’d heard I was a fan.”
In attendance, among the leather and the latex, were Mckai and some of his Neu Wave Hookers cast members, including Riley Mason, Joanna Angel, Dana DeArmond and Sierra Sinn, as well as Penny Flame, Leah Luv, Van Styles, Charlotte Stokely, Ahn Tran (of WantedList.com), Hillary Scott, Peter Reynolds (of VCA) and a swarm of AVN staffers.
