Arrow Productions and Hi Def Home Entertainment will throw a party to celebrate the re-release the classic film Deep Throat on high-definition DVD at 7 p.m. this Sunday at I Candy Lounge in West Hollywood.
Two months ago, the original film negative to Deep Throat was found in a garage, missing for 30 years, but still in pristine condition. Along with it was the original theatrical trailer. No other copies are known to have survived.
They were transferred straight to High Definition and then authored to the High Def format.
The release party for industry professionals will include DVD giveaways, posters and even a High Def DVD player.
The party is also being co-sponsored by Adult DVD Empire, which will be offering the Deep Throat High Def DVD on its site.
Meanwhile, Arrow Productions will be continuing its search for the next Linda Lovelace. The search is on for a new girl to star in a planned production of the official remake of Deep Throat.
