Debbie Does Dallas…Again Reality Series Wraps Up

The documentary of the making of Paul Thomas' Debbie Does Dallas…Again and a parallel version by Vivid-Alt director Eon McKai, reaches a climax on the Showtime network with the broadcast of the seventh and final episode of the series this week. The popular reality series chronicles the struggle to assemble a cast for the film and seemingly unending drama during its shooting.

The DVD release of Debbie Does Dallas…Again will reach stores across the country on Wednesday. The highly anticipated release from Vivid Entertainment Group is a big-budget remake of the iconic 1970's classic film about sexually adventurous cheerleaders. The new version, directed by the acclaimed Paul Thomas, is also the first adult release to be available in standard DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray formats.

"My Debbie compares favorably in every department to the original," said Thomas. "While both have great live locations, the script of this version is more interesting, the female actresses are gorgeous and better actors, and they titillate and tease, making the sex scenes much hotter. Most important, though, is that our movie is far superior visually since we were shooting with the today's advanced technology. It ranks as one of the best comedy films I've done, with great performances, unmatched production values and wonderful inventiveness."

The release is packaged in a 3-D box and includes one disk with the new version, another with the original 1978 version starring Bambi Woods, and a bonus disc with behind-the-scenes footage, photo galleries and scenes from previous Vivid remakes of the original.

Vivid will launch the film officially with a private party at Club Ultra (37 W.26th Street / (212) 725-3860), from 8-10 p.m., which opens to the public at 10 p.m. and will feature personal appearances by Vivid Girls Monique Alexander and Savanna Samson, who star in the movie.
