CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Wicked Pictures has achieved another adult-industry first with the HD DVD release of Curse Eternal.
The new edition of director Brad Armstrong's AVN award-winning feature enters the marketplace as the first adult HD DVD title to boast a 1080p transfer. Other HD porn movies have been transferred at a lower resolution of 720p, giving Curse the highest image quality yet seen in an adult video.
"The 1080p encode takes the adult HD DVD experience through the roof, and gives the consumer the same kind of image quality they'e been seeing in mainstream HD DVD releases," said Wicked's Vice President of DVD Production, Jackie Ramos.
Online retailer Adult DVD Empire agreed with Ramos, giving Curse a perfect 5.0 rating and calling it "the first 'ust-own'HD DVD release to hit store shelves."
Ramos recently appeared on the Fox News Channel in a segment about porn's oft-debated role in the high-definition format wars. Wicked became the first studio to release an adult HD DVD in December 2006 with Jonathan Morgan's Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre.
