<i> BuckleRoos </i> Takes 7 Prizes at 14th Grabby Awards

Buckshot Productions’ BuckleRoos, which swept the GAYVN Awards in March, won seven trophies at Saturday night’s 14th Annual Gay Chicago Magazine “Grabby” Awards.

The evening’s big winner, BuckleRoos captured prizes in the Best Gay Video, Director (John Rutherford and Jerry Douglas), Screenplay (Jerry Douglas), Supporting Actor (Owen Hawk), Threeway (Brad Benton, Owen Hawk, Diego De La Hoya), and Non-Sex Performance (Zak Spears) categories. The seventh award was for Hottest Cum-Shots (Arpad Miklos, Ricky Martinez), one of the Grabbys’ “Suprise” non-voted awards initiated last year.

Brad Benton was named Best Actor for his recurring role in Jet Set’s porn serial Wet Palms 1-3, which was also voted Best Comedy. Another Wet Palms win was Chad Donovan’s Best Solo Performance.

Best Newcomers, a double-winner category, were Kent Larson and Eddie Stone.

Tag Adams and Owen Hawk were voted Best Performers in another two-winner category.

Rascal Video’s Bolt took three awards, Best All-Sex Video, Group Scene (the 11-man orgy), and, in a tie, Duo Sex Scene (Johnny Hazzard, Zak Spears).

The tying duo scene was from Hot House Entertainment’s Perfect Fit (Tag Adams, Aiden Shaw).

Horse: Fallen Angel 5 (Titan Media) won awards in the Best Leather Video, Art Direction, and DVD Extras categories.

The Best International Video prize went to Centaur Films’ Countdown, Raging Stallion Studios’ Drilled took the Fetish Video trophy, and Max Phillips won the Best Videography award for Taking Flight 1-2 (Falcon Studios).

Other Surpise Awards went to Michael Brandon (Hottest Cock), Matthew Rush (Hottest Ass), and Brad Benton (Hottest Versatile Performer).

This year seven gay porn notables were invited to sign their names on Gay Chicago’s Wall of Fame: Chad Donovan, Rod Barry, Grant Larson, Chris Ward, Chris Greene, Jeremy Spencer, and Dillon Press.

The event, the Grabbys’ seventh actual awards show, was once again hosted by Chi Chi LaRue and Honey West.
