Hot as Fawx: Sweetheart Showcase Proves 'Alexis Loves Girls'

LOS ANGELES—For an adult star, getting to do a showcase movie can seem like a dream come true. And in the case of Sweetheart Video’s Alexis Loves Girls, Alexis Fawx took the dream part literally. “This is my lesbian showcase, which I was really excited to do,” Fawx said. She describes the movie’s four scenes as “little fantasies … like dreams come true.”

The three-time AVN MILF Performer of the Year nominee, who currently does girl/girl work exclusively with Sweetheart and other Mile High Media studios, says director Ricky Greenwood gave her a lot of control in choosing the creative elements. “Everybody was just so amazing and allowed me to really showcase my artistic, creative side,” Fawx said. The movie comes out this month, with the first scene debuting this week. To see BTS footage, click here.

It was also an important project for Greenwood. The director said that when Mile High Media vice president Jon Blitt put him in charge of Sweetheart Video, he was determined to shoot showcases with Sweetheart’s two contract girls, Brandi Love and Alexis Fawx, but to take a different approach than previous showcases. “I feel like the showcases we did in the past, they were not exactly the way I will do them.”

For Alexis Loves Girls, Greenwood took a documentary approach. “We follow her through her journey … so you have behind the scenes,” the French-Canadian director explained. “I gave her a camera; she was able to film behind the scenes to talk to the girls and film some footage.” Fawx even brought the camera with her at night, and also shot on the way to and from set. She talked about her personal life and how she selected her scene partners. “We have this kind of personal touch to it,” Greenwood said.

Fawx “wanted to have something more artistic, more different,” Greenwood said. “Each vignette is not a story that I’m used to; it’s more like you enter a world.”

The star was thrilled to work with Greenwood, who directs “beautiful, creative, organic scenes.” The movie is not driven by dialog or any type of setup, she explained. “It’s much more visual, looking at each other and being sensual … almost like you’re watching this dream state. Watching our body language, our sensuality, how we’re looking at each other and kissing each other.”

The movie shows Fawx in a threesome with Katrina Jade and Whitney Wright, and girl/girl scenes with Aidra Fox, Ana Foxxx and AVN Female Performer of the Year Angela White.

Fawx explained, “I picked all women I had never worked with before. And they all had something very individual to add … I wanted to celebrate each one. Their beauty. And coming together and working with me. It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.”

“Aidra Fox and I, we played in mud,” Fawx describes. “I’m a gardener; I like to get my hands dirty and things like that. Playing in mud seems very me. We get to play in mud and fool around, and then shower off and have this beautiful, sensual sex scene in the shower.”

Before her scene with Ana Foxxx, Fawx texted Greenwood, saying, “She’s so beautiful, she’s art.” In their scene, both performers are covered in body paint. “She was painted in all gold and I was painted in black, and we had a scene where our paints mixed,” Fawx said.

Her scene with Angela White was also visually distinctive. “It was very colorful, very sensual. I wore a blue wig and she wore a hot pink wig. Our outfits were really slinky,” she said, evoking the 1980s.

But one thing each scene shares in common, Fawx said, is that each portrays “women enjoying women. And that is what I really wanted. I didn’t bog down with lines to remember. I love acting and I love doing lines and I love being characters, but I really wanted to celebrate the women for who they are and have everything happen very organically rather than set up a scene and act a certain way. … One of the great things about being in this industry is we have such a variety of ways that we can express ourselves, whether it’s in acting or more of a gonzo feel or whatever.”

Fawx fed her acting bug this year by writing and casting a feature for Pure Taboo titled “Seen Not Heard: An Alexis Fawx Story.” Fawx said, “It’s not a feature but it’s a more serious, crazy type of role. … That was a really, really dope experience to work with Bree Mills and sit with her … writing it and casting it.” Her co-stars are Bobbi Dylan and Seth Gamble. “It’s a little bit of a mental fuck—a little craziness.”

In addition to acting, Fawx also has an interest in comedy, which she has explored with the live variety show “High as Fawx" every six weeks at El Cid nightclub in Los Angeles (the next is on July 19). “We’re also going to be taking it on the road up to Sacramento in September. … I’ll be taking a couple of comics from my L.A. show who have supported me for this last year.” She’ll also book local talent, and also shoot the trip. “You get a bunch of comics together and some cannabis—it’s going to be hilarious.”

The variety show isn’t Fawx’s only business venture. “I also just launched my coffee as well—it’s High AF coffee. High Altitude for Coffee, so don’t worry, it’s not infused. That will come later,” Fawx said, laughing.

She’s also developing “a lubrication and sexual wellness line geared toward women but also couples.” The products will have CBD—three different varieties with different dosage amounts.

Fawx mused, “For women, our sexual organ is our brain. And so we walk around with this laundry list of things, crap that goes in our heads, and we look at these unrealistic models in the magazines. We walk areound with all this shit in our head and a lot of times … women aren’t always having the best sex, or even enjoying sex, or even having orgasms. So the CBD part is what I’m really mostly excited about because it helps you relax a little bit. We’re not getting fucked up and high—we’re relaxing you so that you and your partner can enjoy each other a little more. If you’re not sitting there thinking, ‘I’ve got to do laundry and the dishes and my boss needs this the next day,’ you’re going to be thinking, ‘Wow this feels good. And I really love my partner and we should be doing this more often.’”

Fawx believes that “when you free up a woman, you free up her sexuality.” She concludes, “You’re also creating a much more confident woman who’s going to be able to go out there and tackle the world in a whole different way.”
