CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Sarah Sasner has joined Heatwave Video as the vice president of sales and marketing.
Sasner, a four-year industry veteran, is stepping into the position vacated by Alex Arenella, who is switching his focus to producing and directing for Heatwave and other companies.
She most recently was a sales manager at Metro/Video Team, where she had worked since May 2005.
"This was a good opportunity for me to advance and further my career and I'm really excited about increasing the sales and marketing for Heatwave and getting the product the recognition it deserves," said Sasner, who got her start in adult in 2003 with AWARE Distributors. "My whole thing is to up sales. I think the product deserves better promotion. I have confidence that I'll be able to get the line out there and let people know what's available here."
Sasner, a native of Sylmar, Calif., said she wanted to thank Metro Vice President of Sales Christian Mann for "giving me the ability to better myself."
Heatwave President Gabor Esterhazy welcomed the addition of Sasner.
"She's very professional and she's a very hard worker," Esterhazy told AVN.com. "She has a great name in the industry and I needed somebody very good here. Her style fits my company."
Esterhazy, a pioneer in the MILF genre who is now releasing eight titles per month, released his first Heatwave video in 1990 – Girls in the Hood. He has been in adult since starting United Video as a one-stop in 1988. In addition to the Heatwave line, the company now also releases product from Pearl Productions, Onyxxx Video, Heatwave Raw and Aftershock.
The company's August releases include Onyxxx Films' All on a Bitch (Aug. 7), and Pearl Productions' Forever Sex (Aug. 14) and Lesbian College Co-Eds.
