Greg Lansky Profiled on DailyBeast.com

For anyone who didn’t attend last month’s AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (something we just can’t understand, by the way), Daily Beast columnist Aurora Snow has penned a vivid account of one must-see exhibit at the show. Read it and weep if you missed out—or if you’re a competing studio.

Director Greg Lansky, crowned for the second time as AVN’s Director of the Year, took the opportunity at the AVN Expo to mount a lavish shrine to his three imprints: Blacked, Tushy and Vixen (all distributed on DVD by Jules Jordan Video). The showy elevated booth caught the eye of Snow, who writes regularly on the industry for the mainstream site DailyBeast.com.

After describing Lansky’s creation (“In addition to its stunning stars and tasty libations, no other area boasts photo booths, gold couches, trophy-lined walls, and a giant tower of customized cupcakes”), Snow also did an in-depth interview with the French director, whose Vixen debut title, Natural Beauties, was a big winner at this year’s AVN Awards Show.

In addition to sharing his artistic philosophy (“Our goal is to make the adult performer feel proud about what they do”), Lansky also shared some of his considerable marketing acumen, which led to his brands also picking up an AVN Award for Best Marketing – Company Image. “Adult companies need to learn to have a digestible social media presence—one that is safe for work, safe for the audience that wants to enjoy the brand,” he tells Snow in the article.
