GoFundMe Effort Launched to Aid Misty Stone After Leg Injury

LOS ANGELES—Jessica Drake created a GoFundMe page Thursday to help fellow adult star Misty Stone in her recovery from a recent hiking accident that resulted in a spiraling pilon fracture to her left leg.

Due to the accident, Stone was unable to attend last week's AVN Awards ceremony, where she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame (of which Drake was already a member). According to the GoFundMe page, Stone has "already undergone one surgery and will need at least one more, along with extensive rehabilitation and physical therapy so that she is able to walk again." She is expected to be out of work for four to six months, and though she has medical insurance, she will need assistance with rent, utilities, transportation and other daily expenses.

The goal for the GoFundMe campaign is set at $30,000, and as of press time, nearly $4,000 had already been raised. Those wishing to help may also do so by purchasing Stone's single "Toss Me a Bag" on iTunes.

"I am going to be out of work a lot longer than I had thought, but I won't let that break my spirits," Stone said. "The love and support from my porn family has been phenomenal. There have been so many fun and uplifting visits, phone calls and messages from everybody, including my fans, and believe me, that really helps me so much. I really do love you all."
