One-time Vivid Girl Ginger Lynn is featured in the upcoming straight-to-video R-rated movie, Kisses and Caroms.
Lynn plays a horny housewife who tries to seduce the movie’s lead character, Zack, played by Drew Wicks.
“She is an incredibly hilarious person,” said the movie’s producer, Vince Rocca, who is also the film’s writer and director.
“When it came time to make the movie, one of my friends knew her and made the call and she came in and she was great.”
The movie tells the story of Zack, a young tavern owner who is torn between the love for his ex-girlfriend and the love for bachelorhood.
“Ginger is fantastic in this movie," Rocca said. "She shows that she should be in mainstream media hands down is so much more of an actress than people give her credit for.”
Lynn, who could not be reached for comment, has recently starred in the short-lived series “Skin,” on Fox, and in the recent direct-to-video release “American Pie: Band Camp.”
But her mainstream career has been spotty since leaving porn in the mid 1980s, having been typecast as a porn star despite her roles in a string of B-movies where she was often featured nude or topless in the 1980s.
Lynn began her career in porn in 1982 and soon signed with Vivid, where she starred an number of titles, becoming one of the biggest names in the industry until she abruptly retired in 1987. The AVN Hall of Fame performer would return for occasional appearances in the 1990s and is now hosting Playboy Radio’s "Nightcalls" on Sirius Satellite Radio.
“She has incredible acting chops. I just hope more people could appreciate that,” said
Rocca also owns buttweiser.com, which produces videos of college girls getting naked for the camera.
“To make this movie, I took skills from the adult industry to shoot and direct a movie in five days for 10 grand and it just shows that you don’t have to have a lot of money to make a movie,” he said.
The movie is scheduled for release through Warner Home Video on Aug. 22.
