Sofia Moon started performing in May of 2018. "I had been contacted on social media, and I was like, 'I don’t know.' I was working in a fast food restaurant, literally flipping burgers, and I got another message on the train, on the way to work. I had always thought of it in the back of my head, but I'd been too scared to do it, but that time, that time, that moment, I was like—Yep, this is what I want to do."

Her first scene was a b/g in Florida. "I was super nervous, super timid. A lot different performer from what I am now. I'd never been that vulnerable before; naked, with other people around. Opening that vulnerable part of me up was kind of hard to do. I thought doing the scene was going to be harder, but once it got going, I thought, 'I can do this. I do it all the time anyway,'" she says, laughing.

She spent two weeks in Florida, shooting several scenes before returning home to college, and decided to move to L.A. to continue working and also continue her studies in dance. "I've never been anywhere but the East Coast, but I was ready for a change. There was a culture shock. It's weird getting in a car every day, people walk really slow. In New York, it's minute-by-minute, and L.A. is calm. I'm still getting used to it."

Aside from the sex, which she mentioned first in her questionnaire sheet, Moon says she loves "being able to meet all the amazing people" in the adult industry. "The industry is a melting pot of people. You never know where people come from, their background, what they did before this. It's interesting to hang out with people you never would have hung out with before without being in the same industry. I've learned and absorbed a lot from other people. It's helped me grow as a person." What has she learned? "How to value time. And patience. People have taught me to sit back and enjoy things. Absorb the moment right now. That's something California taught me, and all the people [in the industry] taught me. And that's something I really cherish."

Moon says she likes her Brazzers scene with Eliza Allure: "It was my first girl/girl, and I was excited to do one, and she was so nice. Good positive energy." Another highlight is a Swallowed scene with Melody Parker and Natalie Brooks: "I love the company and they were two really good friends of mine. It's awesome to get booked with your friends. The whole time we were having fun."

Her words to live by are "It's beauty in the struggle, ugliness in the success," an axiom she has tattooed just below her right shoulder. "It's from my favorite rapper, J. Cole. When I was younger, I didn't have much. One thing I learned from my family is you struggle to grow. I know I'm struggling now, but I'd rather be happy and learn from my struggles. I have to put the work in for it. It's rewarding to earn it."
