LOS ANGELES — Lauren Pixie found herself a bit starstruck when she first saw Manuel Ferrara walk onto the set.
The six-time AVN Male Performer of the Year from France strikes an imposing figure.
"Oh my gosh, you should’ve seen me—I was shaking like a little leaf I was so nervous,” Pixie says with a laugh. “I didn’t know he was that tall in person. I’ve seen him on the AVN Awards Show [broadcast] before, but I was wearing these high heels and he was still towering over me.”
Once she got past her initial butterflies upon meeting the porn legend, she loosened up in more ways than one.
“He made me super comfortable,” says Pixie, whose scene with Ferrara appears in the newly released Manuel is a MILFomaniac 9 from Jules Jordan Video. “He even drove me halfway back home because Uber wouldn’t come up to the house. He was so nice.”
“After the initial ‘oh my god, it’s you,’ finally the nerves went away.”
Still, when she was leaving the set, she thought to herself, ‘Oh my gosh I can’t believe I shot with Manuel.”
Fans will be seeing much more of Miss Pixie, the former World Cup of Paintball team champion, in the coming months as word gets around about her performing prowess.
Now booking through OC Modeling, the bubbly native Texan has made a strong impression so far with about 10 scenes on her resume since April, including outings for Team Skeet, SpankMonster, MYLF.com, NetVideoGirls, FTV Milfs and Nubiles with two new scenes coming soon from Brazzers—as well as action for CherryPimps, Spizoo and WankzVR.
To say that Pixie is making a strong impression on her first tour through Porn Valley would be an understatement.
“I feel really excited about it,” Lauren says. “I wish I would’ve done it sooner. I guess now is the right time. It’s so comfortable to just go and shoot. I’m able to make my own schedule and everyone at OC is so helpful. I go and shoot a bunch of scenes and come home and relax.
“I’m planning to just do as much as I can and see how far I can go.”
Born and raised in Edinburg, Texas, about four hours south of San Antonio, the 28-year-old performer says she plans to continue living in the Lone Star State and traveling to LA to work.
Even though Pixie is new to doing pro scenes, she is no stranger to the world of adult entertainment. She started stripping in 2013 and a couple years later dabbled with posting content on MyGirlFund and ManyVids as well as camming on Chaturbate.
But she says it was when she signed up for Patreon in 2016 that she began getting more serious about her nude modeling. After Patreon purged adult creators she created an OnlyFans in 2017. Then a few months ago, she decided to take her talents to AVN Stars.
“I love it,” Lauren says. “It’s so easy to post on there. I like that [AVN Stars] has a Clips Store. I like that you can put prices on the messages also. The site works super fast. That one is gonna be my main site.”
The starlet says it was one of her trans performer friends who convinced her to jump into mainstream adult, connecting her with OC Modeling.
“I emailed them in March of this year and have never looked back since,” Pixie says, adding that she did her first porn scene in LA on April 24 for NetVideoGirls.
“I thought it was cool,” Pixie says. “I didn’t know what to expect, so it was fun.”
She took the month of May off to get fully vaccinated and then dove into her second scene in early June with Giovanni Francesco and Harley King for Team Skeet.
“That one I was super into,” Pixie says. “I was her stepmom and we got caught shoplifting. Both of us got in trouble.”
Pixie stepped in with another heavyweight performer in her third boy/girl scene, taking on Keiran Lee for Brazzers. Lauren admits she knew of both Lee and the notorious porn studio going into that encounter.
“I’ve been fans of them,” she confesses. “It was funny. I was so nervous, like, ‘Oh shoot, It’s Keiran.’ But it was so cool. Everyone there was super bad ass.”
It’s safe to say Pixie is well versed in that area. She kicked plenty of ass on the competitive paintball circuit for years. In fact, she helped lead the Paintball Ladies Team to first place in the female division at the 2019 World Cup of Paintball in Kissimmee, Fla.
Pixie says it was her brothers who got her into playing paintball in 2012 after first being told she couldn’t suit up because she was a girl. Finally though, she convinced her dad to give her a shot—and the rest is paintball history.
With her dad as the coach, Lauren competed with her brothers all over Texas for four years and then took her skills across the U.S. She practiced every weekend and flew out to places such as Arizona and Louisiana once a month to do battle.
“We would practice stronger than most teams. We would do drills and make sure our shooting was on point…We put a lot into it,” Pixie says.
When she made her move into mainstream porn, she had to hang up her mask.
“I kind of retired to get into the adult industry,” Lauren says. “When I play and somebody shoots me, they give me a bruise and I have cut skin for three months. That would look bad on film… If I do go back and play it probably would be for a World Cup event and I would take a month off from work.”
The talented go-getter also wrote and published a book in 2013—a sci-fi story titled Vestige: Chameleons Genesis. She says the book was inspired by some of her “hardcore” vivid dreams that she has documented.
“I did it in two months,” Lauren says. “I was pulling all-nighters, drinking a bunch of coffee. I would lock myself in my room and go back to my dream journals.”
In addition, Pixie says she has been experimenting with producing her own music—she already has three songs on Spotify.
“One’s like a dance song, another is an acoustic song and another is like soft-spoken rap,” she says.
A mix of Irish, Cherokee Indian, Blackfoot Indian and Mexican, Pixie says once she decided to get into adult that she did a fair amount of homework, watching interviews and listening to the “Holly Randall Unfiltered” podcast, among other things. That early research helped her become more familiar with the landscape.
“I kind of knew who was who,” Lauren explains. “I knew which companies were good and who took care of their performers.”
She says what she learned during her research was “that you have to be very comfortable with saying ‘no.’”
“It’s OK if you don’t want to do something,” Lauren says. “After hearing all the performers talk about it, I know that you have to be in control of your body.”
Pixie, who would like to add girl/girl and anal to her repertoire in the future, says seeing her fellow performers “so confident in themselves and so open” was inspiring to her.
“There is so much inclusivity in the adult industry,” Lauren adds. “Everybody can be who they want to be. It doesn’t matter what you look like. It’s just so cool.”
