LOS ANGELES—Judy Jolie reveals she wasn’t even nervous for her first porn scene last summer when she was fresh out of high school.
“I was more excited to see how everything plays out,” Jolie says. “It was really cool to see all the cameras and meet who you’re going to be working with. Everyone’s really friendly and it’s great.”
Jolie made her porn debut in late July in Las Vegas, performing with Mike Mancini for an episode of Naughty America’s My Sister’s Hot Friend under the direction of B. Skow.
“I had only been out of school for maybe two months. I just graduated. So I jumped into it right away,” says Jolie, who turned 19 in November.
She brought that same go-for-it attitude to Porn Valley, where she now resides after relocating from her hometown of Albuquerque, N.M., to give the adult industry a shot.
A lifelong dancer and natural entertainer who was a member of her school’s competitive dance team, these days Jolie is showing off her stage skills at the Spearmint Rhino in Van Nuys in between scenes.
“I love dancing. Dancing is my passion,” Jolie says. “Hip-hop, ballet, jazz, contemporary and now pole-dancing, which is hard.”
Jolie says she was the “popular, athletic girl” at her high school, staying active with basketball, cheerleading, gymnastics and softball before she suffered a hairline fracture in one of her ribs from pitching.
But dancing always was her main focus.
“I danced three years in high school, except freshman year when I cheered. The school dance team had bleacher dances that went with the band’s songs. We’d go to football games and basketball games. It was heavy conditioning and heavy working out.
“We took second in the state my senior and junior years.”
Jolie admits she’s mature for her age—she was more inclined to talk with her teachers during lunch hour than hang out with her fellow seniors.
“I was a B-average student. I do plan on going to college in the near future for Business and Cosmetology. I’d like to stay doing porn and go to school,” she says.

“I love it,” Jolie says. “I’ve met so many cool people. I love to meet people, I’m a people person. I love to feel everybody’s energy, their vibes. I vibe with a lot of people. I enjoy that, just being able to talk to somebody for five minutes on the street. ‘Hey, how’s it going? How’s your day?’ …
“I can just imagine how many people I will get to meet and places I will get to go in the future. I always wanted to travel and this gave me the opportunity to travel. Like going to Vegas and being out here in California. I might go to Florida soon. I’ve never been to Florida so that’s going to be amazing.”
Jolie, who also cams on occasion for CamSoda, says she didn’t know anything about the business of porn before getting in, noting that one girl who attended the same high school as her was also in the industry.
“I watched porn, mostly lesbian porn. I’m bisexual. I love girls; girls are amazing,” Jolie says. “So lesbian porn, anal porn and squirting were the three things that I watched all the time.”
She liked what she saw enough to try it herself.
“It just hit me—how do you get in the industry, like where do you start?” Jolie recalls. “I was just reading articles about how other girls started and it took me to this website called SexyJobs. On there you pick out whatever you’d like to do—like camming, modeling.”
It didn’t take much more than 15 minutes after Jolie had entered her selections on SexyJobs for an agent from LA Direct’s East Coast office to contact her.
“She was like, ‘You’re exotic looking. You’re beautiful. You’re exactly the type of girl we want to come out here and work with us,’” Jolie says. “I was like, ‘Definitely, sure.’ I did research into the company to make sure it was a legit company because if I was going to commit to something like this I wanted to be sure. … So I did my research and we talked on the phone for like two hours and just talked about how things work and how I can get started.”
Five days later she met with LA Direct owner Derek Hay in Vegas and signed with the agency.
“My pictures for LA Direct came out first and I saw those and was like, this is really happening. This is legit. There’s no turning back,” Jolie recalls.
“Then when my scene for Naughty America came out I was like this is so crazy. I’m actually right there where other people can see and watch.”
It didn’t take long for people in her hometown to find out she took the porn plunge.
“Everybody knows already,” Jolie says, adding that she at first didn’t tell her mom exactly what she was doing in Vegas and then “my fourth day out there I couldn’t lie to her anymore.”
“So I called her and I told her and she disowned me,” Jolie says. “Maybe a month later she started to come around. I didn’t fight her. You accept me for who I am or you don’t. I’m the same person as I was. I’m just more open about my sexuality.
“I’ve lost friends, family. They know but they don’t really talk about it. They don’t really know how to act but it offends me. … That’s probably been the hardest thing is understanding how other people think.”
Jolie adds, “As long as you look in the mirror and you’re happy with what you see that’s all that matters.”
Jolie came up with her stage name based on the nickname her fellow dancers gave her in high school, when she was affectionately known as “Big Booty Judy” and “Mama Judy” because she would always be the one taking care of the other girls on the team. Jolie just went well with Judy, she says.
“I don’t really hear of a lot of Judy’s,” she says.
