Catherine Knight ascended to the major leagues of mainstream modeling before making her porn debut.
The stunning Chilean performer, who is based in Berlin, worked as a fashion model for about 10 years before turning up in hardcore scenes like the sizzling encounter she had with Marcello Bravo for LittleCaprice-Dreams.com's Xpervo series.
Knight did it all in the modeling world—from runway shows to catalogs and TV commercials to landing magazine covers and being featured in numerous designer’s campaigns.
“I always loved it and I knew I wanted to become a model from a very young age,” Knight tells AVN. “I used to practice my poses and take pics with my bestie at the time, so when I finished school I went to Santiago to study odontology but after a few months I just stopped going to classes and signed with the two biggest models agencies in the city instead.
“Luckily my family was very supportive since they knew how passionate about it I was.”
An Instagram influencer who always commanded a following on social media, Knight did some camming on Chaturbate in early 2020 and then started her OnlyFans account a few months later.
“Because I’ve always been very passionate about creating content,” she says. “I grew a lot of hunger for improvement and success from the production and equipment side to the performance skills and image as a performer/brand.
“In that context I started working with professional production in September this year, which felt like the best way to keep learning and improving as a performer and the right step forward for my career.”
In this exclusive Q&A, Knight discusses what she likes most about performing so far, her favorite kind of porn and where she gets her fashion aesthetic, among other things.
AVN: Where are you from originally—born and raised? How old are you?
CK: Born and raised in Chile. I’m 28.
What made you gravitate to Berlin?
I used to visit Berlin because I was in a long-distance relationship with someone who was based in Berlin. That relationship ended a long time ago but I just fell in love with the city. I felt at home from the first time I visited. I love the techno culture, the sex positivity, the queer community and safe spaces that this city has to offer, so I worked hard towards the goal of moving until I finally made it happen last year…
How many languages can you speak?
I speak Spanish, English and I’ve been studying German on and off, it’s not easy at all!
What did you like most about your mainstream modeling career? What did you learn from it?
How you can tell a story by choosing a specific make-up or hairstyle or clothing and then give it more depth with a certain lighting and camera angle. That was what I loved the most: Being in the hands of so many talented people and watch their ideas come to life to create those stunning images.
I learned a lot about posing, how to move in front of a camera and also about teamwork on set, which has been super helpful now.
What do you think of the adult industry so far?
That it seems to be very open and judgment free, that there’s room for everybody, no matter size, the color of your skin, gender, sexual orientation… but the amount of misogyny and heteronormativity on sets has been really disappointing to experience. I would love to see more inclusivity and respect, specially towards the LGBTQ+ community on mainstream production sets and not just on amateur, niches or the “underground” side of porn.
I have witnessed a lot of homophobic jokes and stuff that makes me really sad and frustrated. I identify as queer and pretty much all my friends and loved ones are LGBTQ+ so it’s really hard to find some balance there or let it pass and not let it get to me.
What do you like most about being an adult performer?
I love the freedom to organize my time however I want to and also being able to combine so many different skill sets into one single job. I learned a lot about posing, performing, lighting and photography during my whole modeling career, so it’s been really helpful now.
I’ve always had to learn how to brand myself online and have a presence on social media platforms, being independent and managing my time. Also the creative aspects of handling and proposing unique aesthetics and style that are true to my identity in a way that’s also appealing in the industry. I’ve always had high sexual energy and I love giving pleasure, so it’s really amazing to be able to use all my skills and turn it into my dream job.
How did you meet Little Caprice and Marcello Bravo? How did you like performing with them?
I met Marcello in Vienna when we shot “Kinky Role Switch” together for Little Caprice Dreams. Unfortunately, Caprice was out of town so we haven’t met in person yet.
Filming for their website has been my favorite experience so far. I absolutely loved working for them, not only because of their beautiful aesthetic and the quality of their movies but also because they have incredible work ethics and are extremely professional—it was a pleasure! It is my favorite movie so far, I think I’ve watched it like 10 times!
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Studying porn, I’ve become a workaholic haha. I have to confess that I rarely watched porn before entering the industry and now I watch a lot of porn so that I can be updated on the latest movies and also because every movie I watch I learn something new and that’s really important to me.
If I’m not studying, you’ll probably find me at a techno rave in Berlin. I love the techno culture for their sex positivity, queerness and the safe space that it provides. It’s also mainly where my fashion and whole aesthetic comes from by the way.
What kind of porn have you watched? Did any movie or studio or any performers in particular impress you?
I usually watch Vixen and all their sites, because the lighting and image quality is always on point, also the locations are gorgeous! I love that they just came out with Slayed. I would absolutely love to perform for that specific site they have.
I enjoy watching Scarlit Scandal, Angela White, Emily Willis, Manuel Ferrara and Jax Slayher perform. I’m always impressed by their acting and dirty talking skills, they’re just incredible and super exciting to watch.
What have you learned about yourself since you started in the adult industry?
That I’m unstoppable. I might be an introvert but I’m definitely not shy. The more I perform, the more I want to learn and improve and the more I want the world to see what I have to offer.
About how many scenes would you estimate you’ve done so far?
I’ve done about seven scenes with productions besides my self-produced work on OnlyFans (I have around 100 scenes on there).
What’s next for you?
I’m gonna be in Los Angeles next year, in January and February, so hopefully work for some production companies there. I am already in contact with some porn actors and actresses I would love to work with while I’m there, so I’m very excited to make that happen! Stay tuned…
