LOS ANGELES—Brixley Benz tells AVN she has “a little bit of every kind of feisty in me.”
If her early work is any indication, she wasn’t kidding.
A stunning mix of Mexican, Puerto Rican and Dominican, the 19-year-old newcomer from Phoenix at the time of this interview had completed just a handful of scenes with many more on the way as the industry begins ramping up production.
Brixley says it was through a close friend of hers that she decided to give adult a try in April.
“She’s like my best friend,” Brixley says. “She did it once and then she handed it off to me and I’ve been running with it ever since.”
Without question, the performer represented by Hussie Models is already moving the ball down the field with her sights set on the goal line.
“I like it because it feels like a whole new world,” Brixley says. “I see things almost through a different perspective now.”
Brixley has even greater respect for performers now than she has become one herself.
“I feel like there is a lot on you, mentally, but once you get a past that part it’s crazy in a good way,” she says.
Just a year ago Benz enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, when she was crowned prom queen at her Phoenix area high school.
“It was surreal, honestly. I thought it was a movie,” she says. “I wore my favorite color. I love red so much.”
Brixley adds, “I knew I was going to win, I’m not gonna lie. But it felt really good having them crown me.”
She competed in track all four years in high school, running the 4 x 400-meter relay—holding down the second leg—and also doing the triple jump.
“Oh man, I loved it a lot—until I was injured my last year at our first invitational meet,” Brixley says. “It was a great experience for me. I was good enough to make it to State one year. I liked meeting a bunch of different people. People from Texas and California would come in [to compete]. It was a social stepping stone.”
Brixley admits she used to spend “a lot of time” on sites such as Pornhub and XNXX.
“I was a really horny girl,” she says with a laugh.
“I liked the girls that looked like me; it was kind of easier to get off… Teanna Trump is a big one. And then Scarlit Scandal—she’s smokin’.”
Brixley did her first scene on April 1 for BackroomCastingCouch.com in Phoenix, recalling that “at first I was really iffy about it.”
“I kind of just gave it a shot. I thought I was going to be really nervous and in the middle of my scene I thought, ‘I could do this a lot everyday,’” she says.
A week later, she added two more scenes, including one with pre-porn crush Jake Adams for Exploited College Girls.
“I tried to keep my cool and not act like a fan girl,” she says.
Meanwhile, she reveals that performing with Isiah Maxwell for BlackAmbush.com was also an early highlight because she knew of him before she jumped in, too.
“I had no idea I was going to be shooting with him," Brixley recalls. "I was totally surprised when I saw him. He was Day 2 technically, but Day 1 of my back-to-back shoots with the company.”
She wouldn’t mind a future booking with multiple AVN Favorite Male Porn Star winner, Johnny Sins.
“That’s every girl’s fantasy,” Brixley says.
Benz was using the stage name “Annette Benz” at the beginning, but since she changed her representation to Hussie Models in June she decided to change her first name to “Brixley.”
“It means ‘dream,’” she says. “This one just rolls off the tongue.”
Some of her other recent scenes include a solo for CherryPimps.com, a boy/girl with Mike Mancini for FamilyStrokes.com, and another scene with Isiah Maxwell for AllBlackX.com.
Before porn, Brixley for a couple months did shifts as a server at a 70s-style restaurant-bar called The Hot Chick. She also modeled for different makeup brands and was a brand ambassador for a clothing line.
She says it didn’t take long before her friends and family found out about her leap into adult.
“A lot of people know," Brixley says. "My family found out two days apart from each other. You’ve got to be ready for it mentally. It can bring the ugly out in the people if they don’t support it. But a lot of friends told me, ‘Holy shit, keep going. Keep doing you, girl.’”
When she’s not working, Brixley enjoys taking spontaneous road-trips.
“That’s something I love to do on my down time. I like to travel," she says. "They can be planned the day of—or months in advance. Either way, traveling is definitely something I like to do.”
