LOS ANGELES—Adaline Star left her job in the hospitality industry at the end of 2020 and embarked on a trip to Mexico that changed her perspective.
She traveled up and down the coast, meeting all kinds of new people who were living their lives on their own terms.
“They didn’t conform to societal standards or norms,” she says. “They had freedom. It inspired me.”
When the native of Houston returned home, she started teaching yoga. And in January 2021, she began to dabble in live camming.
“The two gave me autonomy and empowered me,” Adaline says.
Since then Star has added porn to her repertoire, counting scenes for Brazzers, Reality Kings, Blush Erotica, Mofos, NetVideoGirls and more. Then recently she decided to take her talents to Los Angeles, where she is ready to step up to the next level with her porn career.
“I’m hitting the ground running now that I’ve moved from Texas to LA,” Adaline tells AVN. “Being in Texas was difficult because I felt very secluded and not really in the industry. This cross-country move signifies my total commitment to the industry. I’m here now, eager to shoot more and excited to continue growing.”
Adaline started going live on Chaturbate in March of 2021 after being introduced to the platform by a cam model she met on a different site, calling the move to the live streaming juggernaut life changing.
She attended her first adult convention—Exxxotica Miami—that same year and said to herself, “I found my people.”
“Seeing so many different types of individuals be themselves and thriving uninhibited was incredible,” Adaline recalls. “The culture at Exxxotica and Chaturbate really sold me on going all-in with this industry.”
Now she still cams regularly and works closely with Chaturbate on various projects. For example, she has appeared on Chatubate’s popular Youtube channel “The Camming Life.”
“They’ve been amazing and have sponsored me to appear at conventions. They even flew me out to be a model for their most recent CB Swag Collection and so much more!” Adaline continues. “They have been the most rewarding company and platform I have worked for/with. I hope to continue to cam for the foreseeable future. I see it as honoring my ‘industry roots.’”
She tells AVN her decision to do porn was simple: “I just want to bring enjoyment and pleasure to others. I want people to enjoy their lives and feel good.”
Star is doing her part.
She prides herself on delivering tantalizing teases in her scenes.
“I love to have the intensity build up by mid-scene and then leave you feeling rewarded, giving you that sit-back-in-your-seat satisfaction ending,” Adaline says.
One of her favorite performances so far without question was her Brazzers debut with none other than living legend Mick Blue, the three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year, and the high-energy Joshua Lewis.
“When I read the script, I was like oh my god, this is so wild, I love it! Let’s do it!” she says. “Mick Blue ate me out from underneath a dinner table, I washed a facial off my face from Joshua Lewis using a Bidet, Brittany Andrews almost ‘caught’ Mick Blue and me, and it ended with a creampie. It’s a fan fave and one of mine, too.”
Adaline has been self-booking—and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to have made connections with companies through years of attending conventions and good old-fashioned networking,” she explains. “I tried my time with an agency, which was great, but I am a very proactive individual who likes to set and meet goals. When those goals are not met, recalibration needs to be done, so returning to being a free agent was my best course of action. I’m excited to continue to steer my own ship!”
Star stayed busy in the food & beverage industry prior to adult, becoming a restaurant business development manager for several years until the pandemic hit.
She especially enjoyed the marketing aspect of her previous job.
“The management and operations part came like second nature,” Adaline says.
She brings her “upbeat and spunky” personality to every situation, including the set.
“I love bringing that feel-good energy and enjoy connecting with others,” she says, adding that she also loves the “freedom and autonomy” that her career in adult brings her.
“I especially love hearing from my fans about how my scenes have helped them after a long or stressful day. That makes me happy knowing I could help them take a load off. Pun intended.”
And as an added bonus, Star has gained a better understanding of herself in the process.
