Former Vivid Girl Finds Home in Real Estate

The real estate team of Stacey Hirsch and Staci Mintz came to the rescue for the AIM Health Care Foundation in its search for a new building, and now they specialize in making their services available to the adult industry.

Hirsch, the former Vivid Girl Raylene, became a popular adult star during her six-year film career, five of which were with Vivid. She retired four years ago, and now runs a growing real estate business along with her partner Mintz.

The two began working together 14 months ago after meeting at Paramount Rodeo Realty, the San Fernando Valley-based brokerage firm where they are independent contractors. The large firm has 12 offices throughout Southern California. Since Hirsch and Mintz joined forces they have closed over $13 million in sales, $4 million of which has been related to adult.

“When I bought my first home it was horribly difficult,” Hirsch said. “Now I have the experience and knowledge, and I want to help the women in the industry and people that work for the companies.”

Hirsch said they ([email protected]) decided to target adult clients because she wants to give something back to the industry.

“We know they have special needs. That’s our niche,” Hirsch told AVN.com. “The girls don’t always get the best advice and there’s not a whole lot of guidance. They are susceptible to bad information, and they have a lot of cash. Sometimes they have hangers-on, or bad influences, or people taking advantage of them. We will be the opposite of that.”

She added, “I respect every girl that works in this industry. It’s not an easy job to do.”

Hirsch, a native of Glendora, Calif., has eight years experience on either the stage or screen and comes from a real estate family. Her mother is a 15-year veteran and one of the leading agents in the Inland Empire. Mintz, who is from the San Fernando Valley, has a Bachelor's degree in business and is also the director of a non-profit organization called Money Matters, which promotes financial literacy education. Among the services the organization (ragsorriches.org) offers are credit counseling, budgeting and financial management.

“We have a lot in common and we found that we work well together,” Mintz said. “… We work with all sorts of different people. Just in a short timeframe, I’ve met a lot of people and become more familiar with the adult industry. A lot of the people in the industry are really smart.”

The duo can assist with anything real-estate related, residential or commercial, such as if someone has a house to sell, wants to find a new office, or if they want to fix their credit issues.

“We want to help people that need the help,” Hirsch said.

Hirsch and Mintz found AIM’s new building in March, working closely with AIM Executive Director Sharon Mitchell, Ph.D.

“The business was growing faster than they could keep up with,” Hirsch said. “They needed a bigger space. It was just an empty concrete slab when we found it, but Sharon said, ‘That’s the one.’ She has an imagination. It’s a beautiful building.”

Mitchell told AVN.com that Hirsch and Mintz helped AIM “invaluably.”

“We had been looking for a space for about two years, and we were just not finding one,” Mitchell said. “A lot of people didn’t want to take us because of who we were and the population that we served. There is a huge prejudice out there not only for HIV testing clinics but for people that serve the adult entertainment industry, so we had a double-whammy against us.

“Stacey Hirsch was able to crack that and do a wonderful job at a very reasonable rate for us. And it was something that was affordable to us. It was an empty space and we built it. In fact I even did the blueprint, and I’m very proud of myself. I designed it and with the help of a wonderful construction crew headed by David Litwack, we put it together in less than four months. We’re very grateful to Stacey.”

Hirsch added, “It was our first big job to do for somebody in the industry. It was important for us to succeed, to make Sharon happy. We’re grateful she trusted us with that job, and that she thought of us.”

To show their appreciation for doing business with them, Hirsch and Mintz now make a donation to AIM and the Free Speech Coalition for every transaction they close.

“That’s part of our support,” Hirsch said. “She helped me start my business.”

Hirsch also said that Anabolic Video, Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch and AVN President Paul Fishbein have been very supportive.
