Florida Store Owner Charged With Obscenity

DUNDEE, Fla.—Polk County is at it again. The county that charged adult performer Kimberly Kupps with 13 felonies for the distribution and sale of obscene materials has arrested a gas station owner on similar offenses.

After a tip they received last month, undercover Polk County detectives went to Minakashiben Patel's business, Sunoco Superway No. 6 gas station, on Tuesday and purchased 10 adult movies for a wholesale price.

Patel was charged with wholesale promotion of obscene material and 10 counts each of distribution of obscenity and possession of obscenity with intent to sell.

Patel was booked into Polk County Jail and held without bail.
