ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The organizers of Fetish Con have announced that they are canceling the organization's 2021 trade show due to the continued impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Full refunds for 2020 and 2021 will be processed and issued to those who had already made payments to attend the trade show.
“The continuing global COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to once again make the difficult decision to postpone the 20th Anniversary Fetish Con trade show until August 11-14, 2022,” stated event promoter Genesis Lynn. “We had hoped that by now, a year later, the effects of COVID-19 and its impact on being able to safely hold trade shows such as ours would have subsided. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Our main concern has been, and always will be, the health and safety of all of our attendees, and due to current circumstances, this is again something that unfortunately we cannot guarantee in 2021.”
Regarding the timing of refunds, Lynn stated, “Full refunds of all tickets, booths and sponsorships for the 2020 and 2021 trade show weekends will begin July 1, 2021.” Fetish Con organizers will begin reaching out to vendors and models directly, via email, starting in April 2021; there is no need to formally request a refund.
“By issuing full refunds, we want to reset and begin building the excitement for the 20th Anniversary show in 2022. We are already working on a few surprises that will see the show grow, and we hope that everyone will be just as excited as we are when they are announced,” Lynn added. “The support of our community for the past 20 years has been and continues to be amazing and we thank you for your understanding through these unprecedented times. We hope everyone remains safe and healthy, and we look forward to being able to celebrate with you all in 2022.”
The Fetish Con website will also be undergoing a complete overhaul during this time. All Access Passes and Exhibitor Booths for the 2022 trade show will be accepted beginning October 1, 2021.
