OAKLAND, Calif.—Adult art gallery Feelmore will host a double-feature of two new queer porn thrillers starring queer women of color: Enactone by Sky Deep and Snapshot by Shine Louise Houston.
The screenings are set for Tuesday, June 27. Both directors will be in attendance at the event, which also celebrates the official release of Enactone on Houston’s VOD site for independent adult films, PinkLabel.tv.
“I'm looking forward to showing the film in Oakland at Feelmore!” said Sky Deep. “Through all the fun and kink, I'm deeply sensitive and sometimes protective about this film. Working with Feelmore and the Pink and White team feels like home.”
Enactone is a queer vampire erotica with hard-hitting themes of race, fetish and desire. After suffering a wrongful death in 1914, a former American slave Marie Scott—now a vampire—gets a second chance at life to gain vengeance. Filmed in Berlin, Germany, Enactone features actors Sky Deep, Indigo Raine, Ann Antidote, Salty, Alison B. Mine, Serafima Sparkles and Bishop Black. A musician and DJ in addition to debut director, Sky Deep also provides the film’s soundtrack (available on iTunes via Reveller Records) which features Bella Cuts, Rimarkable, 6zm, Anna Leopolder and discoBAASSIK.
Snapshot is an erotic suspense thriller that pays homage to Houston’s early film influences, referencing Hitchcock’s Rear Window and Antonioni’s Blow Up. Shot on location in San Francisco and drawing from Houston’s own life experience, the feature offers a unique coming of age story wrapped in a murder mystery. Snapshot is led by a cast of queer people of color, featuring break-out performances by lead actors Beretta James and Chocolate Chip, with enthralling performances from supporting actors Verta, Nerine Mechanique, Lyric Seal, and Ned Would as “The Man.”
