Erotic Art Show 'Taboo' Set for Fri. Night at Dungeon West

LOS ANGELES—An evening of "unsafe" art, photography and live performances with a dose of politics and BDSM takes place Friday night at Dungeon West in central Los Angeles.

Dubbed "Taboo," the event runs from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., and is open to anyone 21 and over. There will be a full cash bar, and the address will be provided with a ticket and RSVP.

Featured artist and one of Taboo's producers, Soma Snakeoil, elaborated, "We have brought together some incredibly talented creators. Taboo will be a blend of visual art and live performances that are unsettling, rebellious, poignant and vital to these tumultuous times."

Added producer Emily T. Nielsen, "Taboo is a way for artists to cross that line of what we are not supposed to do, what is unsafe and what society may be unsure to look at and confront. Taboo is about truth of the world we live in."

Other featured artists include An Li, Libby Coy, Nedda Afsari, Schlonglord, Warren Fitzgerald, Tuesday X, Cage of the Soul, Stark Graving Mad, Kai Martin and more. There will also be striptease performances by Jewell Marceau and Bella Bathory, burlesque by Athena Fatale, bondage by Nikki Nefarious, erotic performance art by Chubby Cherubs, body painting by Showzart, and humorous antics by Dominatrixes Against Donald, along with live music and DJ sets by Vanessa Burgundy and Monique Powell of Save Ferris.

"Taboo is an erotic art experience," Snakeoil concluded. "It will be a night to remember thanks to our lineup of sensual and savage visual artists, performers and artisan vendors. An event like this needs great music, and thanks to Vanessa and Monique, we are going to be enjoying the sounds while taking in the visual art as well. Join us to be titillated, educated and disturbed. Creative dress suggested. Wear what makes you feel delicious, delightful, rebellious or vicious."

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased here.
