ePassporte Introduces Funding Option for EU Consumers

ePassporte, a provider of prepaid Visa cards, announced today the acceptance of DirectPay EU, a new funding option for its European cardholders.

DirectPay EU is provided by 20000Charge and enables more than 200 million EU bank-account holders to use the Internet for transferring funds. DirectPay EU provides ePassporte cardholders the ability to move funds from their European bank accounts to their ePassporte accounts, using the bank transfer system.

“DirectPay EU simplifies loading for our cardholders in the European Union,” says Chris Mallick, founder and CEO of ePassporte. “Adding DirectPay EU brings real value because it incorporates a secure, well-known system that is preferred by Europeans.”

Since European consumers trust the EU bank transfer system, DirectPay EU is valuable for merchants too.

“Having DirectPay EU available for loading ePassporte accounts helps merchants sell to millions of consumers who prefer alternative payment options when buying over the Internet,” says Wolf Kring, CEO of 2000Charge.
