HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Multiple AVN Award-winner Emily Willis is set to make her mainstream movie debut in supernatural indie production Divinity from director Eddie Alcazar and executive producer Steven Soderbergh.
Entertainment news outlet Deadline reported Wednesday that Willis was among the final lineup of actors added to the movie's cast, alongside Bella Thorne, Quantum Leap star Scott Bakula and Chris Santos, who played the male lead opposite 2008 AVN Female Performer of the Year Sasha Grey in Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience, which hit theaters the following year.
Alcazar, who was signed four months ago to powerhouse Hollywood agency CAA, made his feature directing debut with 2018 sci-fi thriller Perfect, which Soderbergh also executive produced. Leading the cast of Divinty are Stephen Dorff, Jason Genao and Moises Arias. According to Deadline, the movie "follows otherworldly brothers (Genao and Arias) that are hellbent on stopping a mogul (Dorff) who is close to unraveling the secrets behind immortality."
Willis, who claimed AVN's Female Performer of the Year title in 2021 and this year took home five awards including Best Star Showcase, posted Deadline's announcement to her Instagram page Wednesday night with the caption: "I am so thankful for the opportunity and to be a part of such a brilliant vision @eddiealcazar and be amongst such a incredible cast. You guys are not going to want to miss this."
