CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Director Sid Knox helms Elegant Angel Productions' first foray into the feature realm since 2012's multiple AVN Award-winning Wasteland with the story-based interracial offering The Darkest Shade, hitting retailers September 10.
AVN Hall of Famer Monique Alexander leads the cast of The Darkest Shade as the proprietor of a top male escort agency. The movie co-stars Abella Danger, Kagney Linn Karter, Lily Love, Marica Hase, Isiah Maxwell, Rico Strong and 2018 AVN Best Supporting Actor nominee Prince Yahshua.
"We tried to class it up a little with a dialogue-driven porno, a simple script that would hopefully open up a long running series," Knox commented. "I wrote Darkest Shade to kind of be like an adult version of Fifty Shades of Grey. It was by far the most challenging movie to shoot this past year."
He continued, "After running into early production problems, we finally locked in a great cast and some cool locations. Huge respect and gratitude to the cast and crew for making this one happen. Everyone knew Monique could act, but it was cool to see Prince bust out some lines! That dude continues to be top of the game. Strong performances all around! Hope you all like it."
