Ecosexuals to Get Wet at NY Museum Of Modern Art February 25

NEW YORK CITY—Golden era porn star cum environmental activist film director Annie Sprinkle and her partner and co-director, Beth Stephens, an art professor by way of the coalfields of West Virginia, will present their latest film at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in the Doc Fortnight Film Festival. "An Evening with Annie Sprinkle & Beth Stephens” will include a screening of Water Makes Us Wet—An Ecosexual Adventure, which chronicles the politics and pleasure of H2O from an ecosexual perspective, plus performances art, swag and photo op fun.

Water Makes Us Wet—An Ecosexual Adventure incorporates a poetic blend of curiosity, humor, sensuality, and concern about water. Beth, Annie and their dog, Butch, take a glamping road trip to explore water in all its glorious forms, and along the way they interact with a diverse group of folks who reaffirm the power of water, life, and love.

The screening will be followed by a live presentation by Beth and Annie, and a dozen of their ecosexual friends who worked on the film: Keith Wilson, Linda M. Montano, Judy Dunaway, David Benjamin Steinberg, Joy Brooke Fairfield, Betty Grumble, Dragonfly (Robin Laverne Wilson), Veronica Vera, Ms. Ter, Barbikat, and Jordan Freeman.

This new film was first viewed in the last documenta, considered by many the most prestigious art exhibition in the world. Stephens and Sprinkle assure that, “If you love and appreciate water, we think you’ll really enjoy our film. Come dive in.”

The MOMA event will take place Monday, February 25, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale February 11 and are available at the MoMA in the lobby and online; Adults $12; Seniors (65 and over with ID) $10; Students (full-time with current ID) $8. More information can be found here.
