BURBANK, Calif.—Stormy Daniels makes her debut as a Digital Playground director with the release Wednesday of drama Highway Home on DigitalPlayground.com. The banner premiere doubles as a celebration of DP's 25th anniversary.
The movie stars Kimber Woods as a young woman who ran away from home after an altercation between her stepfather and stepbrother, but after five years on the road trying to find herself, decides to return in order to make amends with her estranged mother. Arya Fae, Jenna Sativa, Derrick Pierce, Ryan McLane and Xander Corvus co-star.
"Working with Stormy was absolutely amazing," Woods said. "I love filming for her, she's a phenomenal director and one of the nicest women I've ever met. This was my first time starring in a feature and I'm just so honored that she was the one who directed it. She's hands down one of my favorite directors. She really makes her sets feel so comfortable and she treats her cast and crew like family. I really hope to work on more projects with her in the future!"
Asked about her directing style, Daniels offered, "I approach directing each scene differently depending what the script is and what is needed of the talent. If it's very dramatic and suspensful, I like to keep the crew nice and quiet and let people work."
"Stormy was an absolute dream to work with," DP product manager No Sin commented. "She handled herself like a true professional and managed to get the best out of the cast. It didn't even feel like this was the first feature she directed for us, it's been an incredible fit since day one."
