LOS ANGELES—Dorian Del Isla landed the starring role in the sexual thriller Sicalipsis that will debut on the French premium TV channel, Canal+, on Sept. 5.
Director Cosmo Liveti shot the big-budget feature for Union Mag last summer in Ibiza, doing the principal photography in the famous old town, Dalt Vila, and at Heart Ibiza nightclub during the iconic La Troya, a notorious, sexually charged party that has become an institution on the White Island.
Dorian’s real-life partner and fellow adult actress, Cassie Del Isla, and popular performer Anissa Kate also have prominent roles, among several others.
“It is an extraordinary movie with sublime women shot in incredible places on Ibiza with a fantastic, mysterious atmosphere,” says Dorian Del Isla, a former paratrooper in the French Army who started his porn career in 2016.
A native of Bordeaux, France, who also owned a strip club before adult, Del Isla says he was chosen as the lead character in Sicalipsis because “the technical staff and the director saw my work as a sex performer and as an actor, too, in some feature movies.”
Del Isla has racked up more than 160 credits in the past four years, receiving several AVN Award nominations, including one for 2020 Foreign Male Performer of the Year.
“The character is really complex. They needed a man who performs hardcore and passionate sex, and one who can act really seriously,” Del Isla says. “So I was contacted for it and they came to my island to shoot in my land, Ibiza, to be close to my reality.”
The movie also includes girl/girl action, an anal scene and an outdoor orgy.
"The sex was great because each scene had a different intensity,” Del Isla adds.
Dorian says Cosmo Liveti and his team were inspired by a novel about “the male/female relationship.”
“This film was incredible to shoot because the acting scenes were worthy of a thriller,” Del Isla continues, noting that Liveti employed a production crew from mainstream TV and film.
His character lives on the edge.
“Cosmo Liveti allowed me to embody a tortured main character,” Del Isla explains. “It forced me to give the best of myself in acting, which I like almost as much as sex.
“My character is a man who wins everything in his life but who lost his love and fell slowly into a destructive whirlwind of alcohol, parties and sex until it comes to a time when he loses taste for everything and obsesses about a woman that nobody seems to see.
“Sicalipsis talks about sex but on another ground, unexploited to date.”
Before it is available on Canal+, Sicalipsis will receive “an exceptional preview in a cinema room at the Champs Elysees, Paris,” Del Isla adds.
“It will take place in the presence of the press and many professionals of porn and mainstream cinema,” he says.
Del Isla, whose co-directorial debut with Cassie Del Isla—titled Ibiza—came out last month through Jacquie et Michel, says he will only choose to work on big projects in Europe before returning to L.A. to continue his adult performing career.
“My crush—the city we love—where my wife Cassie and I feel incredibly well,” he says.
