DNA Moves to New York

DNA, the company owned by now-former Extreme Associates 2.0 President of Sales, Dennis D., has moved from Los Angeles to New York.

Dennis D. told AVN.com that the split between Extreme and DNA was amicable, and he just needed a change of scenery. “[Extreme 2.0 owner] Rob [Black] and I are still great friends, and if he needs anything in the future, I’ll be there for him…but I’m an East Coast kid. I was born and raised in New York.

“For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been doing the Extreme sales work from New York, and now Rob needs someone in the office every day.”

“We had a really good run,” Black told AVN.com. “Dennis is the best salesman I’ve ever come across in the business, and I still think he remains the best salesman in the business. Dennis and I will still work together in the sense that if he needs any advice, I’ll be there for him, and if I have any questions about sales, I’ll ask him. In fact, we’ll both be sharing a room at AVN Summit in Palm Springs this September.

“Dennis will always be like a brother to me.”

Black explained that Dennis D. bought out his share in DNA, and Dennis D. will now become the sole owner of the company, and is now distributing his own product. Black also said that he and the company are currently in negotiations with a few prospective candidates to fill the full-time sales position at Extreme Associates.

Dennis D. said that he also had other obligations pulling him toward New York. “I’m working on my own reality television show for A&E, as well as managing a hip-hop artists that is based in New York, and so I needed to stay close to both of those things.”

Dennis D. explained that the move won’t change anything in terms of the format that DNA operates under. “We’re still going to put out one title a week, forty titles a year…and we’ll still have really great packaging,” said Dennis D. “Extreme and DNA were basically always separate companies, just under the same roof.”

D. said he does not have the newest contact information for the New York offices yet, but he will update everyone, once that information becomes available. DNA has been around since May of ’05, most recently releasing such titles as Anal Athletes 3.
