Director Phashon Passes Away

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Prolific adult director Phashon has died of complications from diabetes and was laid to rest by friends and family earlier this afternoon.

Phashon had a diverse background, his many exploits before entering adult including a stint as a dancer on the popular show Soul Train. He directed dozens of XXX titles from the mid '00s on for companies including Black Market Entertainment, Heatwave Entertainment and Combat Zone. His Pimpfomation XXX for Onyxxx Films won the AVN Award in 2005 for Best Ethnic-Themed Release – Black, and he helmed such well-received series as Womenopoly, Back Side Bounce (both Black Market) and Budonkadunk (Heatwave).

"He will be greatly missed," Heatwave production head Alex told AVN. "He was a beautiful person, he was the nicest guy that I've known in the adult industry, always had a smile, always came with a present or something every time he dropped by. Just was a great shooter, and he'll be sadly missed. My condolences to the family ... he'd been sick for a long time, and he always had a smile on his face, he always was positive, I never heard him ever raise his voice. He was like the peaceful warrior of the adult industry. He was a cool cat."
