LOS ANGELES—Marvin Love helms new four-part feature Payback's a Bitch for Digital Playground, with episode one out today on DigitalPlayground.com.
According to a company synopsis, "Fueled by fiery passion and rage, Addison (Kira Noir) is on a mission for sweet, sweet revenge against her ex-boyfriend Trevor (Ricky Johnson) and his shiny new flame, Cara (Chanel Camryn). And what’s her devious plan? To become Trevor’s stepmom, of course! That’s right, Addison is out to seduce Trevor’s divorced dad, Noah (Lexington Steele), tie the knot, and pocket a juicy slice of the family inheritance while dismantling Trevor’s life bit by bit. But wait, there’s a twist! The girlfriend she left in the dust, Sadie (Jasmine Sherni), has her own score to settle."
“Kira Noir shines in this role,” a DP rep said. “We wanted to make a darkly funny romcom for the modern dating age, and she understood the assignment perfectly! We’re thrilled with what she accomplished with director Marvin Love and the rest of the cast.”
Offered Love, “Shooting on Payback’s a Bitch brought an exciting like I’ve never had before, as it required me to tap into my favorite genre, romcom. When making this film, our intention was to have Kira Noir/Addison basically hold the viewer’s hand and guide them through a mission of revenge, occasionally rewarding them with some steamy scenes for staying attentive, and I’d say we did just that.”
He added, “I had a phenomenal cast. Comedy is hard to act if you’re not believing the situation is funny in even the slightest way. They completely believed and immersed themselves in the craziness of the story and we all had a great time.”
