Digital Playground Announces Release of 'Ghosted'

LOS ANGELES—Digital Playground on Monday announced plans to release Ghosted, a new four-part horror series to kick off the Halloween season.

Episode 1 will begin streaming on DigitalPlayground.com on October 7.

Directed by Danny D, Ghosted is headlined by Jasmine Sherni with support from Danny D, Frances Bentley, Yasmina Khan, Xander Corvus and Juan Lucho.

After being ghosted by her boyfriend Dylan (Danny D), Nora (Jasmine Sherni) isn’t in the Halloween spirit. Sick of feeling sorry for herself and looking for a distraction, she tags along with her slutty friends Liv, Kimi and Sam (Frances Bentley, Yasmina Khan and Juan Lucho) to spend the spookiest night of the year in a creepy, supposedly haunted mansion.

Once there, Nora meets and connects with handsome stranger James (Xander Corvus), who claims to have been inexplicably drawn to the mysterious manor. As darkness falls, they all decide to perform a séance. Nora is horrified when she’s contacted from beyond the grave by none other than her missing boyfriend, and she comes to the shocking realization that something much more sinister has happened to him.

Nora’s night grows more terrifying by the minute when she encounters various eerie phenomena throughout the house. Looking for answers and a way out, Nora begins to fear her friends know more than they’re letting on.

“Filming Ghosted was intense!” Sherni says. “There were scenes with a lot of emotion. Not just being scared but grief, disbelief, and of course genuine terror scream queen type stuff. I was able to pour all my raw emotion into Nora, running and sobbing. I remember running out of Nora’s bedroom after she sees Dylan’s apparition and the crew in the hall thought I was going to launch myself clean off the stairs!”

Danny D recounts what it’s like to take on the horror genre.

“I was super excited to take on a horror project for Digital Playground,” says Danny D. “With this project we knew casting would be extremely important, we needed strong acting to bring the drama and suspense to life. Location and Lighting was also very important for me on this project, we wanted to show off the stunning location but keep the creepy aesthetic.”

Xander Corvus explains why he has a love of scary movies and how he continues to be enthralled by them.

“I have always been drawn to the horror genre,” Corvus says. “Pet Semetary was the first horror movie I saw as lad and I loved the feeling of how much that spooked me, that rush. So I guess I’ve been chasing that dragon my whole life. Ghosted is a cleverly written ghost story. The idea of ghosts only being tangible within the space they haunt is awesome.”

Sherni reflects on her feature acting turn.

“I think [the fans] are excited to see me in such a different role.” Sherni says. “To see me grow as a performer. This is my best acting thus far. I hope that shows them my range is expanding and helps them imagine me in even more roles. It’s also my first BBG on camera ever and I believe they’re ready for it. “All in all, I hope they’re scared and horny when they watch it. You know? Like at the edge of their seats with their popcorn, then turned on and jerking off with their buttery hands.”

The four-part series will release throughout the month of October with the first episode premiering on October 7.
