In many ways, Abella Danger grew up in the adult industry. Just ask Mark Spiegler, who has watched her blossom into a seasoned professional.

“She’s gotten way more mature, especially recently,” says Spiegler, the porn super agent.

“She works almost every day. She would do dumb little things more so at the beginning, less now. But she has mellowed out and been more mature and more introspective about stuff.”

Danger, who turned 23 on November 19, considers Spiegler “a member of my family.”

“He always has my back,” Danger tells AVN. “Without him I definitely wouldn’t have made it so far. I love him so much. He keeps me sane.”

Danger says her first four years in porn have taught her something she will carry with her forever.

“I’ve definitely learned how to really love myself because if I don’t love myself no one else is going to,” she says. “It’s definitely given me more confidence than anything else in the world can. I’ll always love porn, even when I’m not in porn.”

But fans need not worry because the curvaceous native of Miami is not going anywhere any time soon.

“It officially became my fourth year like a couple months ago,” Danger continues. “I still feel like I’m brand new. It still feels like just yesterday I got my first showcase. … When I started I was 18.

“There are so many things I have left to accomplish. Right now I’m working really hard toward directing for a company and shooting brand-new girls and making them look super cute—doing things for them that I did.”

Danger already has become a role model for several new performers who have been inspired by her rise. It’s something that isn’t lost on her.

“I always try to take the new girls under my wing,” Danger says. “I’ve definitely had people that helped me—like Phoenix Marie. And I try to do that for the newer girls. It’s definitely flattering and also shocking because it makes me realize I’ve been doing this for quite some time.

“It’s like I remember when I was your age getting advice from the veterans and now the tables have turned in the blink of an eye.”

But some things haven’t changed much at all—such as the demand for her services.

“Everybody still wants her,” Spiegler says. “She’s got a little attitude, but everybody has learned to love that. She’s done features, tons of gonzo, a lot of Brazzers work.”

Danger’s rise to porn’s elite started in 2014, when she became a sought-after newbie whose first 18 months in adult were as good as anyone’s in the past decade, resulting in the 2016 AVN Award for Best New Starlet.

But she hasn’t become complacent, enjoying perhaps her finest year so far in 2018, appearing in numerous sex scenes for several major studios and even landing a couple high-profile acting roles. That’s not to mention being crowned Vixen Angel in February by three-time AVN Director of the Year and Vixen founder, Greg Lansky.

“I think 2018 has been such a great year in the sense that I’ve gotten to do a lot of really cool things,” Danger says. “I was able to showcase my acting once again, doing the Jacky St. James feature Paparazzi.”

She says her lead role in that movie brought the best out of her. Danger plays a scheming tabloid photojournalist in the movie, which is now in the running for the 2019 AVN Award for Best Drama.

“I love that Jacky always pushes me to the next level with my acting,” Danger says. “She brings something out of me that a lot of other directors don’t. I mean, I know how to have sex. With acting I can always learn more and she teaches me and makes me better. It’s so amazing every time I get to work with her.”

Danger has another “really cool movie coming out” but the details are still very hush-hush. It involves a special project from Pornhub’s Visionaries Director’s Club. Danger was chosen after a “bunch of girls” were auditioned, and she teams up with Small Hands for a “dialogue-heavy, scripted scene” that “invoked a lot of different emotions. It’s a thriller and unlike anything I’ve ever shot feature-wise.”

A nominee for AVN Female Performer of the Year for the third consecutive year, Danger built her reputation as someone who brings her A-game regardless of the project. It’s why it’s a challenge for her to name her top scenes—because they all tend to be great.

“I just always have such amazing sex that’s it’s really hard to pinpoint it,” she says seriously. “The best boy/girl sex scene that I definitely had this year was with Ricky Johnson for Vixen.com, directed by Kayden Kross.

“And then again directed by Kayden—a boy/girl anal with Markus Dupree … I always feel like I’ve been so blessed that I get to work with the people that I get to work with.”

Danger in February added a collaboration with Kanye West to her resume, modeling in the sexy campaign for the musician’s sixth collection of his Yeezy clothing line.

The viral social media campaign entailed the Danger and her fellow models re-creating the original paparazzi-style shots from the collection's digital look book of West's wife, Kim Kardashian, and then posting the pictures on their own Instagram and Twitter pages.

As one of only two adult performers hand-picked by West (along with Lela Star), Danger joined the likes of Paris Hilton and Abigail Ratchford in striking the sexy poses.

“That was a really, really cool,” Danger says. “That was only the first thing I did with him earlier this year. There’s something else coming out that I can’t even talk about yet.”

She says her future entails her stepping behind the camera.

“I’ll still perform but I really love—I have such a passion for videography and directing,” Danger says. “I will be shooting my own camera as well. I can’t wait to do that.”
