Daisy Taylor Talks Brazzers Debut

LOS ANGELES—Years from now it could be a porn trivia question: What’s the name of the popular dating app that inspired the first-ever trans scene on Brazzers?

The answer: Bumble.

The backstory goes like this: A few months after beginning her career in porn, Daisy Taylor logged onto the app and discovered the profile of adult star Xander Corvus. Taylor got goosebumps when she “matched” with her longtime crush—and the trans model was even more elated when Corvus agreed to meet her in person.

“He had no idea who I was,” Taylor said. “But trust me, oh my God … I knew exactly who he was. I kept that part quiet, though. I didn’t want to blow my cool cover.”

Taylor chuckled.

“We’ve had great chemistry ever since.”

Two years later, Brazzers captured that magnetism in the company’s first scene featuring a trans performer. Released Tuesday, the encounter is a reenactment of the actual Bumble meetup between Taylor and Corvus back in 2019.

“Everything we do in the scene was literally taken from real life,” Taylor told AVN. “We’re porn stars, we meet up and, yes … we’re sexual and sensual beings.

“But we’re also both very shy. So that kind of awkward—but very prevalent—sexual tension plays out in the scene. We may have been acting, but it was very true to reality.”

The bigger story, of course, is that Brazzers, one of the most well-known and profitable studios in the industry, is now producing trans porn. Taylor said Corvus contacted her immediately upon learning in December that Brazzers was interested in adding trans content. Taylor said her scene with Corvus was shot in March.

“They were already moving toward it,” Taylor said, “and when Xander suggested this scene they got excited and jumped into it.

“It’s all so overwhelming. It’s a honor, because Brazzers is such a big company, a huge company. If you’ve ever watched porn, you’ve seen those golden Zs.”

As excited as she is about being the first trans model on Brazzers, Taylor said it feels a bit odd celebrating trans inclusion, which should’ve been viewed as normal all along.

“It’s like … it’s a huge deal—but it shouldn’t be,” Taylor said. “It’s only a huge deal because we’re not there yet. We can celebrate that we’re finally getting there because of examples like these. But at the same time, let’s not applaud a fish for swimming.”

Taylor said she’s encouraged by the progress the adult industry is making when it comes to the trans genre. She noted how Evil Angel, one of the top studios in the business, made Aubrey Kate its first trans contract girl back in 2018. Another trans star, Lena Moon, directed two films for Evil Angel and was nominated for seven AVN awards. And Taylor garnered an AVN nomination for Best Supporting Actress nod alongside nine cis females.

“There’s been so much more representation and media about trans people in the mainstream world lately,” Taylor said. “There’s been so much education. And in the adult world the past few years, us trans girls have really have been doing it big and producing bigger numbers.”

The biggest news for the genre in 2021 has been the decision by a handful of straight male performers to film with trans stars. In the past two months alone, Ramon Nomar, Small Hands and Corvus have worked with trans girls for the first time. Owen Gray is another popular straight performer who is now working with trans women.

“It’s important for straight men to see other straight men love and be attracted to trans women,” Taylor said. “A lot of our scene partners are also gay performers. That’s not a bad thing, but unfortunately for people who have one-track minds, that muddies and blurs the lines, because straight men don’t see themselves represented in trans porn.

“That’s why it’s so, so great that Brazzers is showing that trans women are just as beautiful and worthy of love and attention as cis women. We shouldn’t just be a hidden category in a small corner on a website that you have to look hard for to find. More and more, we’re out in the open now. We’re being shown along with all the other women, and not just in the shadows.”

The scene with Corvus is a mammoth momentum boost for what Taylor hopes is a banner 2021. The former TransAngels contract girl wants to shoot more scenes for Brazzers as well as other top companies. And she said she’s “manifesting” the opportunity to star in a film by Axel Braun.

“I’m ready to show off my acting chops,” Taylor said. “I’m a theater kid. That’s where I come from. I’m a creative. I do musical theater. In high school my best friend and I wrote a show and put it on. I’m an actor, a dancer, a singer. I want to incorporate all of this stuff. I want to do things that have never been done before.”

It’s already been a whirlwind of a career for Taylor, who is only 22.

“I feel like everything has built so gradually—but also so quickly,” Taylor said. “The first thing I ever did was post a pic without my face on Reddit, just to see if people would even be interested in me. Then I made a video for Pornhub without my face to see if people would be interested, and they were, Then they posted my face and shit really blew up.”

Taylor has 244,000 followers on her @hereonneptune Twitter account, and her YouTube channel has 16,300 followers—most of whom were excited for her scene with Corvus that was released this week. Taylor said her accounts have been flooded with support and encouragement from performers of all genres throughout the industry.

“Maybe there are internet filters that deleted all the hateful comments before I saw them,” Taylor said. “Because all I’ve seen is an outpouring of love from everyone: trans girls, cis girls, straight men, directors, producers.

“It feels amazing and it makes me want to do more and more. I’m ready to keep going. I’m ready to take flight.”
