Controversial Gallo Film with Graphic Fellatio Scene Lands Distribution

Vincent Gallo's Brown Bunny, a controversial film that includes a graphic oral sex scene between Gallo and Chloe Sevigny, former lovers, has finally gained domestic distribution, one year after its controversial debut at Cannes.

Indie distributor Wellspring has picked up the film, which will be different than the version that was screen at Cannes. While critics at Cannes flamed the film, that Gallo now says was a rough edit, Variety reports that the edited and final version of the film has received favorable reviews form other film festivals.

The three-minute long fellatio scene between Gallo and Sevigny that made the final cut is described by Variety, “the most explicit fellatio depictions outside a porn movie.”

The fellatio scene was in the version of Brown Bunny that was screened at Cannes was 15-minutes long.

AVN Hall of Famer Ron Jeremy says that he was consulted for the project. He met Gallo at a wrap party a few years ago, and was asked advice for the oral scene. Gallo wanted to know how to prepare so that he could ensure "Peter North" size money shot.

"I told him to hold back. Don't have sex for a couple of days. And when you are actually doing it, stop. If you get close, stop. Go eat a sandwich. Use your finger on her. That's the real way to do it," Jeremy told AVN.com in a previous interview.

The film will debut in theaters this August.
