Clarence Thomas: Porn Hound?

NEW YORK – According to an ABC News report, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin's new exposé "The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court" claims Justice Clarence Thomas' appointment was rushed through in part to squelch a story about to get out about his large appetite for porn.

The story in question was allegedly to be written by three reporters for The Washington Post and to include eyewitness accounts from sources including the manager of Thomas' local video store.

Clarence Thomas was sworn in to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1991 after a controversial round of confirmation hearings during which former colleague Anita Hill accused him of having sexually harassed her when they worked together at the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

"The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court" is due out Sept. 18 from Doubleday.
