CineKink Film Festival Set to Kick Off Virtually on May 4

NEW YORK—The 18th Annual CineKink Film Festival will take place virtually May 4-8, with a week of encores to follow.

Returning after a year’s hiatus, the annual kink-themed event features a program of movies and videos that celebrate and explore a wide diversity of sexuality, ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental and from mildly spicy to explicit.

The festival can be seen on PinkLabel.TV.

“The kinky film festival is back,” said Lisa Vandever, co-founder and director of CineKink. "We’re thrilled to be sticking our toes back out into the festival world—even if still virtually—with a new edition of CineKink, and an impressive array of sexy, thoughtful, colorful works from around the world.”

CineKink’s festivities begin Wednesday, May 4, with a showcase of recent award-winners titled "Taste of CineKink," which will stream all day on-demand. At 8 p.m. ET, a fundraising celebration, “Kinky Kick-Off Bingo” will offers up hijinks, sexy prizes and what organizers call “the chance for festival goers to revel in a sense of renewed community.”

The festival then continues with several days of scheduled screenings at the CineKink portal on PinkLabel.TV, running from Thursday, May 5 through Sunday, May 8, with programs including a community chat function and director Q&As.

An artist spotlight, an awards celebration and a DIY AfterGlow party round out the festival's scheduled events on Sunday, May 6. A week of encores follows from Monday, May 9 through Sunday, May 15, with all festival programs available on demand.
