CineKink Announces Winners of 2024 Festival

NEW YORK—Organizers of CineKink NYC announced award winners in the concluding celebration earlier this month of the festival's 21st anniversary edition. 
 
“With two decades under our belt now, I’m once again astonished at the quality works that we’re privileged to share with our audiences,” CineKink co-founder and director Lisa Vandever said. “Congratulations and thanks are in order, not just to our award-winning filmmakers, but to all of them!"
 
Among the honors, a jury award for Best Documentary Feature went to Sex in Colour: Kinky & Loving It, directed by David Weatherby.
 
In the shorts competition, juried awards went to Musings of a Mechatronic Mistress (Jasmin Hagendorfer) for Best Documentary Short; I Could Dom (Madison Hatfieldand F*cking Japanese (SJ Son and Woody Fu) tied for Best Comedy Short; Negotiation (Phoebe Dunn) for Best Dramatic Short; Handsy (Ryan Avery) for Best Experimental Short; RAM (Like the Verb) (Chance Calloway) for Best Animated Short; and Sex-Positive Rock: Pat Bond (Thomas Florek) for Best Music Video. 
 
Honorable Best Mention awards were presented to short titles Blue Balls (HomoGoods), boys (Donald Shorter), Lady May (Elias Kelleher) and Squirting: a history of female pleasure (Jana Nowak). 
 
The annual CineKink "Bring It!" award, determined by audience vote during a showcase of current adult cinema, went to Taste of You, directed by Bea Blue.

A special festival distinction, the CineKink Select Award for Outstanding Creative Vision, was presented to The Feeling That the Time for Doing Something Has Passed, from director Joanna Arnow.
 
CineKink jurors this year included Thor Stockman, creator of The Good, The Bad and The Ridiculous: S/M at The Movies; Viviane Tang, co-founder of The Pleasure Salon; and Bill Woods, a film festival programmer and curator of the New Filmmakers series at Anthology Film Archives.

Sponsors and partners of CineKink NYC/2024 included njoy, along with Film Festival Secrets, Robel Films and The Eulenspiegel Society.
 
In addition to encore screenings scheduled to take place later in the fall, selections from CineKink 2024 will be featured in a traveling version of the festival, slated to appear in various cities throughout the year.
