LAS VEGAS—It's indisputable that two of the best-known names in adult entertainment are Christy Canyon and Ginger Lynn. Both were making hardcore movies when the adult industry began to flower in California in the early '80s, both were "Vivid Girls"—in fact, Lynn was the first one—for several years, with Canyon going on to entertain fans on SiriusXM via Playboy Radio and Vivid Radio, while Lynn took the mainstream route, appearing in several Hollywood movies—one of the first adult stars to make that crossover—such as the Vice Academy series as well as Bound and Gagged: A Love Story before briefly returning to XXX in the late '90s to do four features for VCA Pictures, then becoming a fine artist and selling her paintings even as she manages her own websites. Hence, it was almost inevitable that these two adult entertainers would hook up for an internet show that features the best qualities of each—and the near-hilarity that ensues when these two get to talking with each other on-air.
The show, Who Let the Girls Out?, can be found on Patreon here, and it doesn't take many minutes of watching to see that the "girls" of the title has a double meaning—as Canyon's unfurled gigantic gazongas quickly make clear.
"We have the 'girls' out on a regular basis," Lynn assured in AVN's interview with the pair. (Pair of women, that is.)
"Sometimes my big boobies get in the way, and that may have happened earlier today," Canyon teased, referring to the fact that they had recorded several Season 2 shows earlier that day. "We did a segment on the G-spot today. Is the G-spot lollipop really in Ginger's pussy? That's for the lookers to decide. We discussed and demonstrated the G-spot release. Is it real? Is it pee? The myths and the truth behind that..."
"We forgot to taste it," Lynn interjected.
"We did? Damnit, we'll have to do it again," Canyon responded, adding, "We interviewed mainstream actors today. We had Jeremy Spencer, the drummer from Five Finger Death Punch, and we had a XXX adult Special Olympics in-studio today, and it was fucking phenomenal. The guy, Jeremy, is a mainstream musician, like multi-millionaire kind of guy, and when he left today, he was kind of scratching his head and he said, 'Never quite did a podcast like this before,' and that kind of wraps it up."
Well, not exactly ... but Lynn jumped in quickly.
"There is no other podcast like this," she averred. "There's never been one like this done before. I mean, Christy and I have always had our chemistry and always done a show together that was sexual in nature, but we've taken this just to a different level. What was it today? Cooterball and hooterball?"
"In the Special Olympics?" Canyon asked rhetorically. "Yes, we did cooterball and pooterball, where we had these little blowers..."
"Yeah," Lynn jumped in again, "cardboard cylinders that were like, if you were gonna shoot peas out of something, only the balls are about the size of a marble, and so what we did was, if you were trying to win cooterball, you were the one blowing this ball into the cooter in front of you while the other lady had her cooter—Christy Canyon had her cooter exposed, and I will say that I won cooterball. It's just fun stuff like that. It's like two 18-year-olds getting together at a slumber party, and I'm gonna say 18 minus four years if you get my drift; read between the lines. Like these two 18-year-olds-minus-four getting together going, 'Let me touch that. Let's try this.' You know, like innocent."
And the hell of it is, they really do sound like (more or less) innocent 18-year-olds discovering the joys of being sexy—and since neither has seen that number on a cake in quite a long time, their interactions with each other are all the more enjoyable to behold.
Cannon and Lynn try to have at least one mainstream guest on the show per week, and they said that for their next show, they expected retired B-movie star Kelly Richards to be in-studio.
"Remember her from the day?" Lynn asked. "We're having a retro C-girl or B-girl from the '80s, sweet as pie, nice as can be. She's gonna be sitting on one tomorrow."
"Sitting on one" what?
"We're gonna eat the ice cream cake out of her holes," Canyon explained. "What we're doing is a segment on sploshing. We'll be exploring different fetishes, and sploshing is getting messy with food and incorporating it into your sex, so we're gonna have her sit in smashed bananas; I've got whipped cream—I'm gonna get her just messy and then wrap her up in a towel and send her home.
"Ohmigod, it's so much fun!" she continued. "It is so much fun to do, and this is the first time really in my career that's spanned 36 years that I've taken a business and started it. I've never done that. I worked obviously for everybody through Jim South, then I went to Vivid and I got my paycheck, and I went to Playboy Radio and got my paycheck, went to Vivid Radio and got my paycheck—this is the first time that I've ever done something for myself, and I love the feeling. It's definitely empowering."
"Yes, it is," Lynn added. "We've always had to answer to someone, and now we don't have to answer to anyone."
"There's no one to tell us 'no,'" Canyon said. "The sky is the limit. But it's very, very entertaining, and we actually do little educational bits as well. We did a segment today on how to clean your asshole out for anal sex."
"Christy gets right to the point," Lynn added almost parenthetically.
"Yeah, how to get your asshole ready for anal sex," Canyon continued, "but we actually cleaned each other's asshole out with baby wipes. So there's education, humor, sexiness—you get a whole lot of everything in each show."
Each episode of Who Let the Girls Out? runs between 20 and 25 minutes, but as Lynn noted, "Time flies. When we get our two-minute warning, it feels—a lot of time, we'll start on a topic and not even get to it by the end, and then we get the two-minute warning and we haven't even gotten to the main topic because we know each other so well and we can share stories and go 'I was there too' and still play off each other's stories because we've been there together already, and we just take our listeners and our viewers on a ride, a wild ride."
"The whole time, you're entertained; there's no down time on our show when there's not something fantastic going on, and it keeps you wanting more," Canyon said. "It keeps you going, 'Oh God, tomorrow I can't wait to see what these crazy girls are doing.'"
Such as ... ?
"We did a show today on fetishes," Lynn said. "We started talking about watersports and we went on to diaper fetishism, and actually peed in our diapers. Christy won the contest; they were weighed."
"Once it started, it felt like such freedom but it's almost self-fulfilling with us," Canyon expanded. "I wanted to see what it felt like to pee in a diaper, and I'm like, 'Let's do it on-air; let's show it to everybody.' They're either gonna get it and go out and buy Depends, or they'll go, 'Those girls are sick! What happened to those cute girls next door from 1984?'"
But as folie à deux as these gals seem, they do have a few helpers.
"We've got Cookie and Cream, two girls that help us out throughout the show, take photos, whatever we need," Lynn explained. "We were doing a show on spanking, and I got Cookie to come on into the scene and I got to spank this beautiful new ass. These are young girls who are in the studio and they are fascinated by our show. They were saying today that they didn't even feel like they were working because they were sitting there laughing. They're doing their jobs, they're producing the show, but they're having so much fun and get so engrossed that they don't even know. One time our producer actually went over and they were so engrossed in the show that we missed our two-minute warning."
"And they'll show us pictures on their phone of their asses with all these spank marks," Canyon added.
"Her ass was covered in bruises and we taught the girls how to spank today, and we used everything from our hands to spatulas to toilet brushes," Lynn detailed. "You can use a lot of great household items. I have to bring these things to the studio."
"And don't forget Sheila, our blow-up doll Sheila," Canyon reminded.
"Sheila is on the show every day," Lynn explained. "We do have a blow-up doll, Sheila, and we devirginized her on today's show. We try to keep a cock in her mouth at all times, or a tit, or a pussy; whatever's handy."
"She cannot #MeToo and she can never call the cops on us," Canyon chuckled.
Hard to believe this much has happened on a show that's only been available since mid-August, but subscribers will be able to take their pick of more than 40 episodes, though not all have dropped just yet—but for a while, subscribers will find a new one every weekday.
"We will make you laugh, we will turn you on, we will make you think, we will educate you, and sometimes we may even gross you out a little bit," Canyon promised, "because we are as real as real gets, and we are always trying things out."
