Las Vegas Novelties contract star Christi Lake will be attending the South by Southwest Film Festival this weekend, March 19 – 21. Lake appears in the documentary The Naked Feminist, a film that challenges the mythology surrounding the adult entertainment industry through a series of interviews with porn stars, academics and feminists.
Lake is attending at the request of the producer of the documentary to support the United States debut of the documentary at the festival.
"I’m really excited to be part of a documentary on the adult industry that focuses on the women in the industry as strong and powerful and in control of their careers," Lake said in a statement released to the adult press. "There are a lot of women, on many different levels working in adult. Serenity, Jewel [De’Nyle], me, we all have our own things going and we are all very successful at what it is we do. People should recognize that."
Las Vegas Novelties contract star Chloe is also featured in the documentary. Other performers in the documentary are Annie Sprinkle, Sharon Mitchell, Candida Royalle, Nina Hartley, Ginger Lynn Allen, and Jane Hamilton, aka Veronica Hart.
This 58 minute documentary film tackles the decades old porn v feminist debate by demonstrating that strong, inspirational women are found in all walks of life - including pornography.
