LOS ANGELES—Born in Memphis, Tenn. and raised in Colorado, August Skye isn’t what some could call a garden-variety adult performer.
With her striking looks and a love for fashion and photography, the 5-foot-8 Skye always stood out in the crowd, so it was not surprising to anyone that she would gravitate toward fashion modeling early in her high school days.
Between photo sessions, she attended a school for fashion design where she could share her own vision for unique clothing and accessories.
“So I did a lot of mainstream, then I transitioned into glamour when my body came into full fruition,” she said. “You can’t be a size two forever so puberty hit me a little later in life. I became a little more voluptuous. So, I transitioned and started shooting more for glamour and swimwear.”
With her sizable bust, now 36DDs, and curves to match, the once rail-thin model was becoming a sensation on the glamour model circuit and on social media.
She soon found herself shooting for Playboy and discovered she was equally at home in nude modeling as she was in mainstream work.
“I kind of transitioned into the industry out of sheer curiosity,” she recalled. “I always wanted to look into doing hardcore adult work. It wasn’t hard for me at all. I think I made peace with myself with like being comfortable with it. But people don’t realize there’s a kind of merge between both worlds, mainstream and adult.”
Having followed a number of influencers and models on social media, she discovered a kindred spirit in one adult performer who would assist her in her entry into the industry.
“In social media there are a lot of girls that I would look at their pages and this one girl that stuck out to me was Scarlit Scandal,” she said. “She had this gorgeous page and all these great pictures. And I realized she was in the industry. I’d see her wearing these things with Vixen on them and I didn’t know what Vixen was. But I liked her branding and that’s what started it for me.”
By the time the bubbly newcomer finished her first porn shoot, she was hooked and admittedly never looked back.
“My first day on set was for NetVideoGirls and I remember getting my make up done and asking all these questions of the makeup artist. I asked, ‘What do you think I should do? Are there specific things that people are looking for in a person?’ And they said, ‘No, just relax and you’ll have a good time.’ And I did. I had a great time.”
Skye would go on to shoot for such brands as Brazzers, BangBros, Elegant Angel, TeamSkeet, Penthouse, XEmpire and others as she continued to grow her popularity with an engaging blend of genuine charm and passion.
“I did a shoot for Seth Gamble that I think was amazing,” she recalled. “The scene partner was Vince Karter and it was very taboo and it was really hot. In the cumshot… he came in my mouth and spit on the headlight of a Lamborghini then I licked it off and swallowed it. So it was like a double cum thing. It was an all-day thing. We fucked on a bed of money. It was great.”
As for her industry idols, she said: “I really like Violet Myers… I met her a couple of times and she’s always genuine, sweet and kind and just doing amazing things and staying true to herself.
“I worked a new performer, Little Puck and she’s great. She’s amazing and I’m a huge horror movie fan so she has this whole brand that’s like horror so working with her was just good.”
Meanwhile, the statuesque starlet is looking forward to her upcoming busy schedule of shoots and to eventually write and direct her own features. With energy to burn and her own seeming endless ambition, she is also eyeing mainstream projects while looking forward to the re-launch of her podcast “Hustle Bunny,” set for Labor Day weekend.
“I like to immerse myself in everything I do. If I want to do it we’re going to do it, but if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. But hey, at least you tried. That’s my attitude. But so far it’s been great!”
Skye is booking through Invision Models.
