LOS ANGELES — Cassie Del Isla and Dorian Del Isla tell AVN the next chapter of their careers starts now.
The French couple, who established themselves as two of the top performers in Europe since their debut in 2016, has returned to America after two years with plans to live and work in the States for the foreseeable future.
Both performers have received major nominations for the 2022 AVN Awards on Jan. 22nd—Cassie is once again contending for International Female Performer of the Year and Dorian has returned to the International Male Performer of the Year group of finalists.
Cassie says arriving in Los Angeles in the past week is both “exciting and stressful at the same time.”
“After two years traveling and working in the EU and Mexico, we decided to leave everything to devote ourself to the US industry,” she says.
Dorian agrees.
“Coming back to LA after two years and for a long time is a consecration,” he says. “We chose to devote our career to the US industry, because for many reasons, America is the place to be for us.”
In addition to being in the running for the top international performer awards, the couple shares the spotlight in two other nominated sex scenes.
They joined forces for “A Romantic Getaway” for Jacquie & Michel Elite’s movie Furious that is up for Best International Anal Sex Scene; and they have been nominated for their performance in Eiffel Thoughts for Sinematica, along with Clara Mia and Axel Reed—for a tryst that is among the finalists for Best International Group Sex Scene.
“I am truly happy to be nominated this year again as Best International Female Performer is an amazing recognition of my work and having the award would be a consecration,” Cassie says.
Dorian tells AVN, “Being multi-nominated for the 2022 AVN Awards make me proud of course. But the nomination that counts for me and my career is the Best International Male Talent. I think I deserve this nomination and I hope to convert a try this year!”
Both performers will be represented in the U.S. by LA Direct Models.
“Derek Hay, my agent, helped us, pushed us, supported us in our choice to come and settle in the USA,” Cassie says. “I am really proud to join LA Direct Models and to work with this agency who trust on Dorian and I.”
Dorian adds that Hay has been instrumental in helping them get to this point. “The man who really support us in our American project and showed us that he believed on Cassie and me. All thanks to my agent,” Dorian says.
They say the timing of December 2021 is ideal, since their plans to get comfortable in California were postponed by a number of factors—namely travel restrictions.
“Arriving in LA in December was a good choice for us, celebrating Christmas in California!” Dorian continues. “We suffered from a long European travel ban, and we had lot of job offers there, projects and personal things to fix. So we were late on our departure. Today we are more than happy to finally stay in Los Angeles!”
“We were late but we finally did it,” Cassie says. “It was really important to come and celebrate our American new life along with New Year’s Eve. It’s a good starting point. New country, new year, new life, new people to meet!”
Even though the EU industry was not as busy as usual due to the ongoing pandemic, Cassie and Dorian found ways to make the most of 2021, spending extended time in Prague, Czech Republic, Malaga, Spain, Paris and Tulum, Mexico.
“And we fell in love with Tulum where we passed three months!” Dorian says. “That was a lot of travel with a lot of good experiences.”
“We moved a lot for porn and vacation,” Cassie explains. “We chose to perform only for exciting projects and having vacations between two films. Coming back from Mexico to Malaga where we worked for Harmony Films, for example...2021 was full of exciting travels and really pleasant shooting.”
As they look ahead to 2022, the couple says their move to the US is all about exploring new opportunities.
“I hope to shoot for companies that cannot be approached in EU,” Cassie says. “Some of them are only in the US, and for the other ones it was more important for me to shoot for those companies in America. It doesn't make sense for me to shoot for an American production in an Eastern Europe country…I hope productions in the United States will see in us, what AVN saw about me and Dorian by nominating each other, each year.”
Dorian agrees, saying he only expects bigger and better things for the new year.
“Working in USA mean a lot for me, for us,” he says. “I see my professional life really intense in 2022, discovering a lot of productions, meeting a lot of new people, meeting all-American beauties from the industry! Intense and sensual sex scenes and group sex are always my favorites, so I hope to do a lot of them.
“But I have another goal—acting for some incredible directors who knows to manage the actors for that! I have names in my head…”
