LOS ANGELES—CamSoda has asked noted chef and TV personality Antoni Porowski to lead its “CamSoda Cooks” campaign.
Under the proposal, Porowski, who appears on the Netflix reality television series Queer Eye, would lead the effort to provide cooking lessons to those stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his offer letter to Porowski, CamSoda vice president Daryn Parker wrote: “CamSoda Cooks virtually pairs models and users together to cook a meal with a renowned chef. After they cook their meal, they can enjoy each other's company during a virtual 1-on-1 dinner date. Since you’re already actively conducting your 'Quar Eye: Cooking Lessons in Quarantine' on Instagram, we thought you’d be the perfect guy to be the face of CamSoda Cooks!”
He continued: “We would love for you to lead at least three cooking sessions per week (ideally breakfast, lunch and dinner) through the end of July. And since you’re a reputable and well-versed foodie, you would have full creative control to develop the menu as you wish. In return for your services, we can offer you up to $100,000, which you can donate to the charity of your choice. In turn, we will match that donation.”
The company said Porowski was selected because he's sexy and knows a lot about food and wine, but he has set an exceptional example for all by fostering inclusivity and speaking up about his fluid sexuality.
