CYBERSPACE—Live cam company Chaturbate is rightly thrilled with the exposure garnered by broadcaster Scarlet Loveu in an interview conducted by BuzzFeed host Aria Inthavong.
In the video, Inthavong interviews the vegan animal lover—who has been a member of Chaturbate since April of 2017—about her work as a cam performer: how she interacts with viewers, what kind of money she makes, and how she feels about the work. Loveu also discusses the importance of community on Chaturbate with Inthavong, stressing that there is more to her shows than simply performing sexual acts.
"A lot of rooms are not just sex and dirty stuff," said Loveu. "People [are] coming in for conversation and for the entertainment."
As in clear in other programs Inthavong has done for BuzzFeed about adult entertainment (including this one shot at the AVN Expo), Inthavong knows how to present his subjects in a fun and sympathetic manner. For his profile of Loveu, Inthavong followed the Chaturbate broadcaster through her daily routine, appearing live on cam with Loveu and even enduring a couple of good-natured swats on the rump with a wooden paddle.
But instead of stripping down for her Chaturbate audience, Inthavong surprised them by bringing in members of a local theater troupe to perform scenes from the stage production Les Misérables.
Loveu commented, "It was an honor to represent our community on Chaturbate. A total of almost 2 million people have seen my Buzzfeed video. I am SHOOK."
