BurningAngel Takes on Sex Work Censorship With 'Shadowbanned'

MONTREAL—BurningAngel Entertainment has debuted the first episode of its newest horror/comedy project Shadowbanned, written and directed by BA founder Joanna Angel and available now on Adult Time.

Explains a company announcement, "Jessie Lee takes center stage as an adult film star who is trapped inside another dimenstion with no voice to be heard, while popular influencers Angel, Rocky Emerson and Maddy May get away with freely posting anything and everything on their high-profile social accounts."

Angel calls Shadowbanned "an open letter to Instagram," and says it was inspired by her frustration with social networks' practice of covertly censoring sex workers on their platforms. The limited series, which also stars Dante Colle and Codey Steele, is infused with Angel's trademark "comedic sarcasm" blended with a "campy, spooky" setting befitting the Halloween season.

"The entire cast and crew worked very hard on this labor of love," Angel said. "I'm so incredibly proud of this for so many reasons, and I can't wait for the world to see it!"

BurningAngel is accessible to all members of Gamma Films studios' sites, as well as on the Adult Time platform at Adulttime.com, offering more than 300 channels, 57,000 scenes and eight new releases per day, all in one subscription.
